I bought an S Edition Forester recently, and the only mod I have done to it is E100 conversion. Didn't touch Timing or Boost tables, nothing, nada.

Yesterday I had an overboost fuel cut in 3rd gear, I suppose, can't confirm since it never threw a CEL, and that's the main point of this thread.
I suppose it was an overboost event because today I found out the wastegate hose was cracked and had a huge hole in it, replaced it today and no more fuel cuts.

I didn't touch the DTCs, so i was confused why it didn't throw an P0244 like all other cars when overboost occurs.

Found out that P0244 for that CAL ID is not even defined. Perhaps because that DTC is not enabled on that ECU by default? I never saw anything like this.

Is there ECUs that doesn't have P0244 once overboost event occurs?

I never had a code thrown on my 06 STI when hitting the boost cut.
I assume it was boost cut given that my targeted boost at the time was higher than my boost limit and was resolved when I bumped that up a bit.

Alright, so it seems a few ROMs actually doesn't have that DTC... Boost cut does work but no CEL.

Makes sense now.
