Logger won't open. Getting "Initializing Logger .." pop up

I was having problems getting RR to install saying a 64 bit JAVA was detected with a 32 bit version installed. I ended up deleting all my JAVA files and reinstalling the 32 bit version. Now RR has installed without the detection message but Logger will not open. I get a pop up saying "Initializing Logger ..." and then nothing ever happens. I desperately need RR Logger for tuning of my car with my tuner.

Try deleting your settings.xml file in c:\[home dir]\.RomRiader\

Curious to see what you discover as I’m on a similar boat.

Except I’m running Windows 10 and not sure if the stupid Windows Defender antivirus is preventing RR from running ok..

Three days ago it was just fine for me, now RR won’t open..

I gave up after hours of trying to get the program to run, and bought a cheap laptop to try. RR works flawlessly on it. Who knows why it won't run on my other laptop with the same operating system, etc.
