Hello everyone,
I recently swapped a jdm ej20x 2.0L on my '05 Outback XT.
I used the JDM long block, jdm VF38 twin scroll turbo and the jdm twin exhaust manifold. The ECU, Intake Manifold, Engine wiring harness and injectors were kept domestic.
Not sure if this matters, but I also deleted exhaust AVCS by installing the ej255 exhaust fixed cam gears and retarding their timing by 7 degrees, essentially making the motor a hybrid 255/20x. I have no leaks on the exhaust cams because I capped the oil ports.
The mods I have on this new motor are a Short Ram AEM Intake, a Grimspeed 3 port Boost Controller and an Aftermarket catted Down Pipe. Other than than, everything else is stock.
btw, (these are pretty much the aftermarket parts that were installed before on the old ej255), except the DP was catless and now is catted. I am not aware who tuned or what tune came with the car before when it previously had a VF52 turbo.
Oh, and the O2 sensor is now located after the DP, right after the turbo since I kept the jdm Up Pipe as well.
I have driven the car almost 110 miles now (out of boost) and the engine is performing great so far, but it's not tuned yet..
I already have RR and ECU Flash installed on my PC as well as a Tactrix 2.0 port. Can anyone share a base map for the mods I have installed?
Thank you in advance.

first job is check the LTV info, make some logs of the car how it runs now (with wideband) and then grab a copy of the rom that's on the ECU currently. If the original tuner can't be identified then you can't post it up here but the logs will give some idea of how the car is running at the moment. With the induction kit on you'll 100% need a wideband to dial it in properly.

Good luck and may the logs be ever in your favour!
