As soon as I install JDK for MAF Scaling, RomRaider including the DimeMod version says I don't have 32-bit JRE anymore because the JDK install jacked the Path I guess. Oh maybe if I change the %PATH% variable to force it to 32bit JRE, then edit the run.bat for MAF Scaling to go directly to JDK instead of using %PATH%.
Meanwhile, on my other PC, RR would launch but say it had reduced capabilities without 32bit JRE even though I have it installed. So I guess some versions of RR can run on 64bit with reduced functionality but other versions just won't run at all with 64-bit?
Basically I've gone round and round with all versions of Java and JDK on 2 different PCs and no matter what, I can only get MAF Scaling to work on one and RR on the other, so I end up using both PCs to update my tune, but then the copy & pasting of RR tables doesn't work thru the RDP clipboard for some reason.
Man, Java is such a PAIN. The PATH is set system wide or for specified user (so called local), so yes, new Java installation could change that. All you need to do is change it back to the version you want to run by default. Then for mafscalling change PATH in run.bat (or run.sh for Linux) script to Java 15+. Also, there was MafScaling_v2.7.0_Java8.zip / MafScaling_v2.7.1_Java8.zip added specifically so that people don't need to download version 15+.

I too, can no longer get this to work whilst also having RomRaider 0.9.4 installed.
I can't wrap my head around changing the PATH - I've tried to change it in the run.bat file to point to where the jre is installed that makes RomRaider wprk, but I just get a commandprompt window open then close, and nothing happens.
Stumped at the moment and wish I hadn't have upgraded RR. D'oh.

Thanks for the reply, Somehow I ended up getting it to work after opening it via command prompt and now it runs normally. Weird. On to my next probem; MAF VE Calc. I'm trying to build an SD map, but getting stuck on the usage. When using MAF Builder mode, it changes the cells it hits from ~0.4 to ~10 (screenshot) which is 25x higher, when the Merp MAF output (SD Generated) is only about 40% lower than real MAF. If I use AFR Tuner, it barely changes anything - and lowers many cells, when they should be being raised by ~40%.

The MAF VE Calc was porting of Merp's 32-Bit Speed Density Map Builder spreadsheet to make it a bit easier to use than excel asked by someone viewtopic.php?f=32&t=8080You could try using Merp's excel to see if the results would be better in case there is some bug in java screen, though I think it was tested. If you do find a discrepancy pls pm me your data/logs and screenshots with how you set the screen together with Merp's excel with your data. I'll take a look where mismatch comes from.

What a great app! im yet to use it to its full potenital but i ran some data through the MAF scaler and it through back what i already knew..
Question!!! I keep reading on here that if you have "Stock intake do not scale MAF" why? If its out its out.. if you can realy get it to 3% and its currently 7% why not?
By the way the latest release with Java 8 zip on your github is the one that worked for me...
The people above having issues seem simiular to the issues i had when java updated to latest version where it only has one version installed not both 32bit and 64bit... or something like that..

This is a great tool. I'm attempting to use it for a 2020 STI, but the map has two primary open loop fuel tables (high and low). Which one do I use?

I just get a generic java exception trying to start the jar. Java is in my path, but the app will crash instantly. Running on win 11 pro. Any suggestions?
