So I was trying to read the ecu from a 14 WRX and am getting this error. I have it set to the Subaru 13+ ecu.

"No response to security access request", does this mean the ECU is locked by another flashing software like Cobb or ECUTek?

yeah if the key exchange fails it's probably had a 3rd party tune on it.

That's what I was thinking, and there's no way to override it with ecu flash if all my reading is correct? Thanks for the reply.

With what engine? Does those still use Denso sh7058? Usually COBB and others will respond to security access but with fail message when accessing with stock keys.
