We had our first autox of the year, first time at our new site. Last year we had a long, narrow parking lot, and this year it's big and wide, so our courses are a bit different, and today's was fast. It was freezing out but a lot of fun once the tires got warmed up.

Jared,

Are both of those your cars?

Edit: Nm I see the descriptions now. Must be fun to go "racing" with the Wife. I'll have to start working on that!

the not-so hot blue wrx and the not-so pretty spec-V are his and his wife (respectively) the Black, so pretty, so mean, and so fast WRX up top is, fortunately, mine

She loves it :) She's tired of me beating her, though -- I'm afraid she's about to get the modding bug. :D

Your rear end is probably pretty loose, but I think the car is fine... Mine's more tail happy than yours, even when you only have 3 tires on the ground. It was pushing a bit more in the morning before it got up to 40 degrees though. :o

Of course, now that I'm ready to go out and check out my wheel well liner, which is pretty much torn to shreds, it's raining and cold. I hope I can replace both sides for under $100...

Edit: Woo!
Sedan Right - 2004-05 04-05 $30.85 $22.21
Sedan Left - 2004-05 04-05 $38.63 $27.82

yeah, the car is fine. actually, I just need another front alignment. the last U-turn is the only place I was really slow - that place is where I could've gained another second. i tried downshifting to first, but the pave is angled down to the right and it's a right hander, so coming out of that section on first gear always want to kick the rearend around :?:

now is the time to purchase the liners with air ducts leading to the brakes.

I can't do that in STX... but I was looking at R comps last night.

My liner is tore up enough that I could put my intake silencer back in without taking anything apart.

I'm still working on getting the gallery set up -- I'll probably have to give in and call the webhost to get it fixed. God I hate talking on the phone.

Maybe I should tear down one of the walls of the porch and turn it in to a garage.

teach your wife what to do and let her help you with it. i'm sure she'll be glad to do it for ya

the air ducts are OE to 02 WRX, iirc. so it shouldn't change anything on u being in STX. we need to swap y-pipe though.

You can't backdate in STX -- I have an 04 WRX.

I hope it quits raining, I really need to do something about that liner before I end up with a flat tire.

Jeramie, mine is.. I've been wanting to buy a beater, but haven't yet.. spending all our extra money on the new house. I want a truck for under $1000 if you have any leads. :)
