Good Morning!
Trying to tune my 1998 Z3, 2.8 with the MS41.1 (says so on the DME, BimmerTools scanner also reads this as the version number)
I did a partial scan, with both the BimmerTools scanner and the Chipster scanner. Both of them gave me the same file type, so I can presume it's not an issue with that.
When bringing said partial scan into RomRaider, there is only ~8 folders, some useful, but not what I'm looking for. Picture is attached, bottom file is what my ECU is giving me, the top (what I want to see) is from an online download.
Confused, I downloaded a basemap from an E36 3 series, with MS41.1, from OpenMS website. Using that as it reference, it has what I would expect it too, all 20+ folders.
I have pins 14 and 18 bridged, I also have an OBD to USB-B adapter that is bridged internally where it's needed.
I did try to update to MS41.2, as I thought that MS41.1 just had limited options. That bricked an ECU (relay clicking and no communications), fortunately I had a spare, so not sure what I did wrong there.
Any advice is appreciated.
