I am in the process of converting a 1993 m50b20vanos ms40.1 to ms 41.0 My main concerns are the sensors id like to know what are the absolute mandatory sensors to get the engine running. The only sensor that is from m52 is the cps and that is non oem part, i am getting 4.9 volts at the cps plug. i have tried flashing ews out, byte 8 was 15 changed it to 143 correct? still no spark. Wiring loom is out of a e39 i get the car cranking by giving voltage from the x6011 connector to the ecu and starter solenoid (what other pins need power?), i read some where that there is also a EWS signal in the x6021 connector is this signal just 12volt or something else. Is the cam position sensor trigger wheel the same in m52 as is in m50 or does that have to be modified
also. Car is a racecar if that makes any difference.
