Hello all,

Just ordered a tactrix cable and taking on this journey to learn to tuning my own car. I didn't see much info on tuning for an FA20DIT wrx. My goal is turn learn smooth out the the map and then start adding boost. Once I feel confident I hope to try and run ethanol/flex fuel. Not looking to make crazy power I can tell it needs a tune, once I get the cable in the mail I'm going to do some data logging and see what's going on. Any help would be much appreciated!

2015 WRX mods:
3" catback exhaust
STOCK MAF tube with cone filter.

there won't be much info as that ECU isn't supported in ECUFlash so most are using subaruEdit or other 3rd party tools to do the job.

I'm starting to think I needed to do more research :( I checked out subaruedit, would I be fine with the single license version you think. I don't have any idea on HEX editing.

Just got a reply back from epifan, subaruedit does not have flex fuel compensation abilities. This may be my only option at the moment. Also found atlas but they are currently in testing for the VB platform.

About to datalog a few pulls tonight. I am using subaruedit.....question I have is, is there no option to save the stock rom from my ecu now? epifansoft sent me a rom supposedly for my car but I'd feel better if I could copy and save my stock rom? Should I not be worried?

Are you talking about pulling the rom using ECUflash? I just thought about this while datalogging tonight. I should be able to pull the rom using ECUflash and saving it. I just want it incase car ever goes back to completely stock. I don't know if I can use the rom pulled from ECUflash then to SubaruEdit to make adjustments. Only had some time to do 3rd pull logs so far.

You can download a fully stock ROM for SubaruEdit from Epifan's web base. And then flash it with SE.

I was given a rom from SE. What parameters do you suggest to datalogg on SE? the list is HUGE and seems like majority of them don't even work. I tried following guides on here but SE is definitely a little different the ecuflash. My goal is to log and see if it's its making any knock/fuel corrections. Determine if i need to rescale the maf. Then move on to turning up the boost and adjusting fuel trims. Goal is 20-21 psi and see what she'll do. Definitely overwhelming but I am determined to learn!
