Edit: I'm not sure how to delete the thread but I think I have this under control now.

I'm making a little progress with this myself so the full bounty is on hold but please do reach out if you are capable or know someone who is and we can work something out.

How will this affect engine power? It's just the rev limiter but having said that, the timing trim map Y (RPM) axis uses 50rpm minimum increments so under heavy load, you feel the power loss with the ignition retard just before the limiter. I'm thinking about changing timing trim maps to use the 25rpm or 12.5rpm increments so I can have full timing all the way until immediately before the limiter then a sudden retard just in time for the cut.

Are you wanting this just for neutral?

Noticable power loss just before the limiter with all the ignition retard to allow flames applied. I don't want to mess with ignition timing caclulation code though so I've minimised the compromise by working with the fact that BFS reduces once on limiter so it's not too bad now.

I cant remember if yours is auto or manual I offer this patch to both auto and manual customers. I used to own a manual model. Now have an auto one. The ignition retard does not start until after the normal full throttle shift point so it's only when you rev past that that the brief power loss happens before the limiter hits.
