I hope this is a right place to ask this question.
I have 2010 Legacy V with 2l engine and Hitachi ECU with 5B44384107 ROM-ID. Is it possible to use Tactrix cable with USB dongle V 1.20-67 (module 16) to reflash firmware in this ECU (power lack) or this dongle doesn't work with Tactrix cable?? I was trying Tactrix alone to connect and I got error.
I would really like to avoid buying pcmtool for a single use.
I would be appreciated for any help.

Only tactrix op2 needed, no additional dongles etc.

thanks for the tip.

I was able to connect to my ecu and download the firmware, but is there a way to find the appropriate definitions somewhere?

Below is what I managed to download from the ECU after selecting the Hitachi sh7058can protocol, except that the program did not connect to the ECU after selecting connect. Is this a correctly downloaded factory ROM? If I get a patched version of the ROM, will this be a safe way to upload this ROM?

Yes, this ROM is correct. Can be edited and flashed back.
