I noticed a tendency for it to overshoot changes and started looking at the output table as g/sec units instead of VE. Manual smoothing a bit, depending on area and surrounding changes, and things are good. Checked the VE table a couple times this week and still had the same overall fueling error as when I said it was good and done.

I wasn't aware (appropriate to settings) that any data was not being included. Excited to see an update.

Here is the latest spreadsheet, it is relatively untested. I'm probably not going to have time to test for a little while and i286's ride currently requires some assembly.
We would appreciate your feedback.

Iv'e been playing with your newest "beta" and couldn't find any issues. Only been on speed density for a short time and your sheet helped me get it running very well, minimal corrections in CL, OL coming along nice, need to turn boost down to touch a few more areas in the OL map.

I've altered a few log values to play and figure out the sheet, and the difference page helped my changes stick out like a sore thumb. Admittedly this is the first time using any of your sheets but I really like what you did and wished I found this sooner.

I wish I was able to provide some valuable feedback. Thank you for this wonderful tool.

Thank you for the kind words. i286 and I are very grateful.
We honestly started working on this just for ourselves, we're really glad it's getting used!

I also use this with converting VE to g/rev and g/sec

((MAP psi * multiplier psia/g) + offset psia/g) * VE factor = g/rev

(5 psia * 0.076403213 psia/g + -0.0068359 psia/g) * 0.642 VE factor = 0.24 g/rev, at 900 RPM

RPM/60 * g/rev = MAF g/s

900/60 * 0.24 g/rev = 3.6 MAF g/s

3.6 MAF g/s at 64.2% VE @ 900 RPM

I'd say it does a good job...

Haltec 1/8 NPT fast response and port temp estimation is enabled

Thanks for the spreadsheet!

I am getting ready to convert to MAF/SD instead of just MAF. I'm using DimeMod on my USDM 2011 STI, which has a larger VE table, so I updated Smen's v1.371b to add 6 rows and 6 columns to the tables, then corrected a few little things that broke like the conditional formatting. I don't think I missed anything or messed up anything when copy & pasting, so here it is. Maybe that will save someone else a bit of Excel time.

Heck ya! I'm using it again on my next car after I sold the 2011 STI, this time it's a 600HP+ Forester. I don't even know of any other way to tune for VE in these cars, so thanks for putting this together.

This time around, I had to get rid of 3 columns for the smaller VE table. I also changed the 8 and 10 for OL/CL to 0 and 1 since I'm using BTSSM to log data, not Cobb AP. Pretty easy to find that in the formulas. Others might have trouble with that and would appreciate a field for setting OL and CL numbers like the MAFScaling tool has, but I'm going to be selfish and not add that and reshare. Maybe I will one day.

Are you still using this with 32bit ecu's for tuning VE? not just carberry?

How does it compare to the one built into MAFScaling (Which I think is derived from Merp's VE spreadsheet)

Ya it's a 32-bit ECU, 2004 FXT, using an STI modded Merpmod rom (Andea's) that adds FlexFuel via rear02 and some other stuff. I've never played with Carberry, but it sounds pretty decent. Too bad it is for 16-bit ECUs only.

I haven't compared Smen's to MAFScaling VE stuff because that tool requires a JDK java that when installed causes RomRaider to fail. I was using 2 PCs to use both RomRaider and MAFScaling, then I got a new PC and didn't put MAFScaling on it, using Smen's spreadsheet instead. I didn't do SD tuning back when I used MAFScaling tool.

EDIT: Oh I do have MAFScaling on my new PC. Looking at the VE section, it doesn't look as thorough. One AFR column so you'd have to tune OL and CL separately if you want to use your wideband. I'm sticking with Smen's.
