Ej205, walbro 255 pump, mishimots tmic, vf48, sti 565cc, full exhaust, cheap cai and silicone turbo inlet 91oct. Got the car with numerous vacuum leaks, fixed now, looking for base tune so I can dial it in. The tune file I pulled is not mine or stock so I cannot upload it here. Runs decent but think it could be better. Thanks

assuming you're going with carberry you could lift one of the already shared tunes on here and just tweak it a little. start with 0% wastegate duty min/max and pull out some timing. Once your MAF (or VE) readings are getting your wideband to match the AFR target then try and introduce some timing before adding in some boost.

Forgive my ignorance, what is carberry? Does that run the same as ECU flash and RR?

So just got done downloading and setting up all def to run the program, alot of things going on for sure, and some learning to do before jumping right in. Think i have another vacuum issue to sort out first, two times now i have had the brake pedal go rock solid while driving, like no vacuum on booster, not fun when going into a roundabout at speed. Aside from that I will do some learning on this and is the sd base map the one i should upload or search through and find something else? Seen the target boost is somewhere around 24# peak, not sure if id reach that but wanna make sure the engine is safe to do so, or is that why you suggested to turn the wg dc to 0? Sorry still trying to make sense of all the tuning now, mechanics no problem, thanks again

if you're just setting up and creating a patched file then note that the file you have patched is from a JDM group-N car. If you don't have that then have a look on here for a map already shared that may be better suited to your setup. You can always copy and paste a lot of the values across from your old map too - just keep an eye on the table axis values so you don't end up with something crazy in there.
Your brake pedal sounds like your 1 way valve to the brake booster is missing/on the blink. When you go on boost the boost pressure is pushing against the pedal that's what you're feeling.

Ok thanks for that info. I'll have to look and see about that all I know is I was quick to use the ebrake without sliding out, crazy thing wash both were on decel nut that could also make sense on the valve being in-between good and failed lol not holding the vacuum in the booster

So the brake booster check valve was broken in half the po tried to use a hose clamp to fix it, so this might be my last vacuum leak I was searching for also.

I forgot to mention the EBCS on the car also, setting the wgdc to 0 would that rely on mechanical spring? my current table is basically set at 40% can just paste that in the carberry for starters or set it 0 all the way across? The fuel and timing seem pretty close minus the load measurement for throttle, just wanna make sure I start in the safe zone. I have went and changed some data to match my car such as fuel injector scaling and the dtc info as it applies to my setup. As far as the logging pids go anything addditional if going to sd tune? I am gonna search again not sure if i overlooked it or not.

I actually came across his base tune which was pretty close to my current setup minus turbo and ebcs. I've read that on those SD tunes they can run on the iat built into the maf, is that ok for getting a good baseline to start, or will I need a dedicated iat first ? I appreciate all the info I can get. I'd really like to learn how to dial this car instead of making it pop

Are the pids different for logging in SD mode? I have the maf scaling program but didn't have the correct pods available so it wouldnt load my logs, that was before downloading the carberry defs though.

I'd really like to learn how to dial this car instead of making it pop you can run SD with the air temp on the MAF but its not as accurate as using an air temp that's actually measuring post intercooler / manifold air temp. For logging you can use the regular romraider logger defs or the carberry SDLogger defs. If your MAF based probably stick with the regular logger so the names will match up with the likes of your maf scaling tool.

Yea the maf scaler has different def than what I currently have on the logger so I'll need to go back through and get that straight. Also found a bit of info from another guy on what to actually log for dialing things in.

Finally got around to installing the Carberry sd base file, instant check engine light, coil primary codes, fuel injector codes, and some undocumented codes, ill get the actual number in a few. I made adjustments in the file that pertained to my vehicle such as fuel injector size and latency, tgv delete along with disabling the necessary codes. just do a small trip trip, around the corner light throttle to log. The learning afr correction seems to be excessive in some parts +/- 20% is that normal? Just wanna make sure its set good before I try actually pulling. The timing and such looked pretty comparable to previous map but based on map psi vs engine load.
