Hey guys. I bricked my ecu the other day(2013 wrx AE5L600L) and I am looking for options. I have reached out to two companies(tactrix and rallinspired), both west cost to get some quotes. Does anyone know of any east coast companies(or super nice romraider users :D ) that can unbrick it? Just looking to cut down on downtime and shipping.

Thanks in advance for the help!

I'm on the same exact spot. I found an unbrick guide from OhNineSTI in Github, I will follow its steps and report back.

Tactrix can't help, they recommended Cobb who I reached out to but they have a 4 day response time :(. I might try to call them today. No word from Rallinspired, I sent a follow up text yesterday. Slightly discouraged but I'm going to keep at it.

Thanks for viewing

Thanks for the info lex. That is a great writeup. I'm still hopeful one of the companies I spoke with will get back to me. I will definitely keep this in the back of my mind though. Good luck with yours!

If you can connect it on a bench, we could try to unbrick it remotely.

I followed all the stetps, flashed the last working ROM the ECU had before, using shbootmode in EcuFlash, but the car still doesn't start... I'm suspecting some shorted sensor or some electrical issue. Any ideas ?

It's running now, the MAP sensor wiring was making the ECU going on protection mode. I will fix that now.

The OhNineSTI guide works, just have to add a couple of 12v pins to power theECU (ECU Power, Ignition) and an additional ground pin to power the ECU.
