Hey all,

Just trying to find a hesitation/ slight bucking at 2000 to 3000 rpm, is it normal for the engine speed to go up and down as I get on the gas?, also does this AVCS look right? (seems exhaust one side is faster than the other)

This is a JDM 2010 EJ207 WRX STI with dual AVCS

Accel, Engine speed
0 2289
14.12 2251
25.88 2267
31.76 2314
33.33 2338
36.86 2336
39.22 2349
43.92 2361
45.88 2312
47.45 2256
50.98 2288
52.94 2350
52.16 2361
51.37 2336
51.37 2370
52.16 2382
52.94 2319
61.18 2360
67.84 2524
68.24 2578
66.27 2436
65.88 2386
66.27 2501
66.27 2610
64.31 2614
58.43 2560
54.9 2570

as you can see the revs go up and down? is this possible a crank angle sensor issue?

Log attached, does the AVCS look ok, seems at times they kick in at different times (left vs right)

Let me know if need a better log, sorry this was just the latest one checking AVCS action, was logging knock in other logs and didnt appear to be any.

Thanks

ideally you would check the VVT angles on a WOT pull - the small portion of throttle in the log i can see the left and right cams seem to be matching each other OK.

the RPM's are a little wobbly starting off that pull (timestamp 394204) - but that i would guess is gonna be timing/afr related. The timing looks kinda OK/stable so log your AFR and wideband AFR along with the fuel trims and see how they look.

It does look quite lean in places, but looks like the ECU is pulling fuel there making it lean??

have I screwed up my injector settings? ID1050-XDS
The Low pulse widths ok? - they high negatives (copied their settings for Cobb)

Attached the log as well, currently stock MAF intake with K/N Panel (and perrin silicone Turbo inlet), got a 3d printed MAF to fit and scale from stock MAF later, but want to get this issue sorted before that, so I'm not chasing my tail.

I'll re-insate the 1018.47 for Injector flow, and see how that goes (0% ethanol here), ( I only pulled it back to 1064.5 due to fuel being pulled everywhere.)

Thanks.

I did some WOT runs as well (attached), they seem ok, but there are some point where exhaust is up to 5 or 6 deg difference, is this ok?

a couple of examples

I'm wondering if its my O2 being slow to respond causing the closed loop to get a bit wonkey?
another log with fuel scale back at 1018.47 (4.9% ish more fuel), as usual its seems fine until I've done a few KM then starts doing this issue.

Is this normal, or slow to respond (I do have an aftermarket 3" downpipe, and the O2 sensor is OEM and only 6 months old), if this is not normal (response speed) then either a bad O2 or where it is positioned in the down pipe is a bad spot (being twin scroll the O2 is in down pipe not the manifold), maybe its not sitting in the turbine stream, being a open end 3 inch pipe (could be off the the side a bit - not seeing direct exahust stream), maybe I'm grasping as straws as well lol...

Here - getting on the throttle - it slow to go richer, then a slight overshoot in correction then back

There here, after lift right off throttle - slow going lean - (you can see the self learn trying to pull heaps out - perhaps its dominating the longer term learning)

I've got nothing to compare it to, so is that slowness normal?, if not, it would make sense its this causing it

Thanks,
Ryan
