Hi All,

I've gutted my TGV's and I would like to find any settings in the ECU (like a g/s or intake/coolant Temperature ) type thresholds that I can set so the ECU is always in TGV Open mode (rather than just deleting the error codes, and copying non-cruise tables over Cruise tables)

I'm wondering if there is a coolant/intake temperature or perhaps a g/s setting I can change to make sure the ECU is always forced into TGV Open mode.

Any idea how to find these in my ROM? ( I see the AZ1G202G alpha defs have some defined but seem to be invalid on the AZ1G202G ROM's I downloaded to try and figure it out from in ECUFLASH - so didnt help me too much).

My Rom
JDM 2010 WRX STI EJ207 ( with TGV deleted )
AZ1G800S

Thanks,
Ryan

so your looking for the tgv open/close tables then there will be 3 sets of tables for I/S/S# modes and each set will have a TGV open threshold and TGV closed threshold. If you set the open threshold to like 1 requested torque and closed to 0 then as soon as you touch the pedal you'll be in tgv open status (though your idle will still be TGV closed status).

Hi,

Thanks for the advice, I'll have a look for these, you don't happen to know what the stock values are for these so I can hex search for them?

Thanks.

i think the last set i found was with scoobyrom, fairly easy to pick out then just based on the shape of the tables and location. if i get a chance i can take a look at your rom see if I can find them.

Thanks mate, I've found that Scoobyrom project in github, I'll start trying to work with it and build it so I can self help.
I should learn the micro/machine code for these ECU's too, have done with others (Nissan 16 bit), but need to start all over again here lol.

I got that Scoobyrom project up and running (thanks for mentioning it), and ran through my rom and compared to the known mapped TGV mapped rom (looking for the same sort of looking graphs for the S S# and SI requested torque disable above as you mentioned), and couldn't find anything that looked similar in my rom, I wonder if this being a 2010 JDM 2.0 works differently?.

I did see a close below 45 g/s and open above 50 g/s setting in the mapped rom, and searched for those same raw values in the hex, there are three sets in the mapped rom and three sets in my rom, the last set in the mapped rom is them, the last of the three in my rom is close (like Hex 'AC' offset different), anyway to validate this is the right set? (apart from disassembly - which I may look at sometime...)

yeah if you log the TGV status after you change it then you'll see if its worked. Maybe test it on s# temporarily and see that it works then you can always switch back if it makes the car drive wonky.

Just replying to my own post, just in case someone else is looking for this, I've disassembled the rom now, and see it does not have those tables I couldn't find originally - for requested Torque (by S S# and SI), it works a bit differently.
it has a whole lot of other checks (the other roms may do this as well)
These are all Open above, close below for
Revs
G/s
G/rev
and a few other things, I've end up patching the code just to set the main TGV parameter to 1 (TGV Open)
