Hi,
I’m really into drifting, but I also have a stock daily driver that I use for practice and testing.
Together with a friend, we’re currently tuning both MS42 and MS41 ECUs, and I’m looking to expand my knowledge and hands-on experience.

Having the latest and most complete MS41 ECU definitions would help me a lot in learning and experimenting, and I’m more than happy to share my own findings and results back here on the forum to help others in the community.

Thanks in advance!

Hello guys, I am Riccardo and I own an E36 320i with an M52B28 swap. I need the ECU definitions to mess up my engine  . Jokes aside, I should check if my lambda probes are active because with a multimeter in hand, they are both dead. Thanks guys.

I recently acquired a 1997 BMW 328is with a manual. The car belonged to a friend of mine. After breaking the door handles on both sides, she had to enter the vehicle through the trunk. Not long after, the car was parked. It sat for nearly 5 years, during which I've asked to buy it over and over. It finally happened, but now it needs even more work.

Good news, the motor seems strong. I let my friend start her car after replacing the fuel pump. I expected a bit of smoke on startup, but it's clean. It was running MS 41.1 ID60, but after reading about 41.3 being able to use a WB02, I decided to upgrade. The sensors in the car are original and pretty slow to respond. They've improved with driving, but they need to be replaced. Installing a wideband sensor seems like a better option than sticking with the OEM style replacement sensors. This alone swayed me to flash 41.3.

The car is currently 100% stock, not even a high flow panel filter. I'm working on a MS 41.3 tune for a stock M52B28. I plan on sharing my work so others can have a better starting point when flashing 41.3. Like everyone else on 41.3, I started with the calibration included. I disabled the 4x MAF, but it ran poorly. I moved on to manually logging and correcting spark and fuel over the last week. I have a decent tune with that file, but after looking at the logs I see that I'm not close even to hitting 700mg/stroke. Without more displacement, cams, or forced induction, I'll never see the big numbers of a 2x or 4x table.

Today I started from scratch with fuel and timing tables. Mine go from 50 to 700 mg/stroke like the stock maps. I copied the stock tables into Excel and ran them through some VBA to upscale the tables from 12x16 to 20x20. I did something similar with the G37 and I liked the results. This calibration should result in better tune for all of the 2.5 / 2.8 owners that don't plan on moving to a forced induction setup in the future.

If there is anyone with a wild 2.8 NA setup that's pushing past the 700mg stock boundary I'd like to know. Changing the X-Y axis for timing and fuel after tuning is not easy. I'd like to get the basics correct from that start.

Flashed and cleared adaptations with this new file. Currently, it's running a bit rich (-5 -> -7 STFT). I'll work on that after the timing issues are fixed. I've got knock below 2000 RPM, but almost none elsewhere. After I clean that up, I'll post the file in a new thread so we can collaborate. I hope to contribute to the amazing work produced here. Thanks to everyone here who made this possible!

Hi I'm Zoltan and recently built my MS41 bench setup to re-flash my 323i DME. It has stopped giving fuel injection signal (TI) to the cluster, so I try to re-flash the original, or flash an other one to my car.
Need assistance with the ecu definitions and I'd also appreciate factory original bin files for my car e36 323i manual MS41.0 (12141706139) to compare with the version existing on DME.

Thanks

dear admin and all developer, thank you for all your effort to make all of this for community. little story about my journey with m52 engine. i've owned several bmw with m52 engine since 2010 (e36 and e39), all in stock condition. currently i owned lite modded e36 323i m52 engine with ms41 ecu. little mod i've done, such as m50 intake, s52 cams, exhaust (shorty header, us m3 midpipe with hartge muffler), and porting/polished. dynoed with stock ecu, it got 215hp on data sheet (curve on dyno sheet reach 225hp though, don't know why it's different). it feel slow on low rpm, strong on mid, but flat on high rpm. been wondering if i could tune the ecu to optimize the mod. so here i'am. hope i could get the definitions file for the MS41 and learn to tune it and compare the result on dyno. thank you.

Hello all

Z3 with M52B28 manual, in the UK, that currently won't run. Suspected EWS2 issue. Working with another forumite to resolve this but keen to have romraider working so I can understand what's happening and maybe for potential M50 manifold change at a later date.

Currently looking for definition file for MS41.0 Firmware: 1429861, for the above engine

thank you
