I have two laptops.
I have a Taxtrix and a knock-off.
I have tuned several Subarus before.
Yet this stock 2004 FXT will NOT let me read or write it with ECUFlash.
The car enters test mode fine, with both sets of green connectors connected.
It works fine with BTSSM over bluetooth and RomRaider with the knock-off on COM4.
ECUFlash detects everything correctly, yet it just immediately fails when attempting to read in normal and test mode. And of course it fails to write.
The 2nd laptop was a fresh ECUFlash install. It does not have RomRaider on it or anything else that could cause conflicts with the Tactrix or knock-off cable.
I'm pulling out my hair over here. I have probably flashed 50 or 75 tunes this year and never had an issue on my primary 2004 FXT (not this stock 2004 FXT that I've been working on for a couple months).
I'm open to any and all ideas. Thanks!

If it had a Cobb AP at one point and wasn't uninstalled, would ECUFlash exhibit this behavior? Would RR and BTSSM read it fine if it was a Cobb AP tune? I doubt it.

Even if it has COBB or similar, logging values should work as usual with RR etc. Do you have log when trying to read it?

Nevermind, it was Cobb locked. My buddy had a Cobb AP and I deleted the locked tune. Yay!
