Hello gentlemen!
There was a problem connecting AEM UEGO 30-0300.
You don't want to see the Romrider via the com port.
System win10 pro
romraider release 1.0
The RS232 connection on the DB9 is correct.
Through the hyper terminal testing software it shows all the data. I am attaching a photo of the reading and the romrider log.
Please help me figure out what the actual problem is.

RomRaider AEM X-Series Serial AFR Integration (v1.0.0 DEC01 2023)

Subject: How to load AEM X-Series Serial AFR external wideband definition in RomRaider v1.0.0 (DEC01 2023 Logger)?

Hi, I’m trying to add the AEM X-Series 30-0300 Serial AFR gauge via FTDI serial logging on the latest RomRaider logger (v1.0.0 DEC01 2023). I already have the correct XML definition and wideband.dtd, but the X-Series option never shows up under Plugins or External Sensors, and no parsing errors appear on startup.

Environment
RomRaider Logger: v1.0.0 DEC01 2023
Wideband: AEM X-Series 30-0300 Serial AFR

Connection method: RS-232 serial → FTDI USB adapter
OS: Windows (file path below)
Files & Paths

I created:
C:\Users\chief\Documents\RomRaider_WIdebands\

Inside that folder are:
aemxseries_afr.xml
wideband.dtd

Both files are valid XML and load fine in Notepad++.
settings.xml Entry

In:
C:\Users\chief\.RomRaider\settings.xml

I added:
<externalwb dir="C:\Users\chief\Documents\RomRaider_WIdebands"/>
RomRaider launches successfully, no parsing or missing-file errors. Logger definitions load properly.

The Issue
Despite all of the above:
AEM X-Series Serial AFR does NOT show up under:
Plugins → Wideband

External Sensors tab
No errors or warnings appear, so it seems like the definition folder is being ignored.

Questions for the Devs
Is external wideband support still enabled in v1.0.0 DEC01 2023?
Does the AEM X-Series XML need to be referenced directly inside the main logger_METRIC_EN_v370.xml file?
If so, where should it be included (exact tag/section)?
Has the required XML schema for external widebands changed for the newest release?
Is there a sample external wideband entry for v1.0.0 that can be provided?

Goal
Just need the correct way to register the AEM X-Series Serial AFR so it appears in the logger for serial AFR logging.

Thanks in advance to whoever can clarify the correct method for this build. Happy to upload the X-Series XML if needed.

Optional Attachments Mention
I can provide screenshots if needed (wideband list, folder, settings.xml, and the X-Series XML).

The Logger could care less about this entry in the settings file. It will ignore and delete it.

Hook the AEM to the laptop and select the COM port under the Plugins menu for the the AEM entry that matches your port speed, 9600 or 19200.
On the Externals tab select the AEM entry that matches your speed and click the checkbox to log it.
