question - with the new logger defs for my usdm 02 wrx (a4sgcooc) i've lost the knock correction field... it's seemed to be replaced with new extended parameters that make up the old KC field.

You haven't lost it. The extended parameters are displayed first in the list, then the normal Subaru parameters follow. You just need to scroll down more. :D

Am I the only one having problems importing the CSV file to Exel?
The problem is that since the .csv-file separates the values with commas and some of the values are supposed to have commas (like manifold rel. press.) it splits the value in two different columns in excel.
How to solve? How about to change the RomRaider log file construction and use a specific separate-character?

I think you have to change your regional settings in Windows to USA or North America or something like that where the decimal point is used in numbers instead of commas

When I try to load this spreadsheet, after several minutes of dialogs popping on and off the screen talking about converting something, I get a error box saying

Quote:
Run-time error '57121':

Can't exit design mode because Control 'CommandButton_color_cells' can not be created.

I get the choice of End or Debug. End results in the spreadsheet not functioning. Debug fills the screen with layer upon layer of windows that might as well be in Greek.

Any idea what I need to do? All I want is to graph a few different variables against RPM!

yeah after changing the region settings to English USA it works :)
It also solved another problem I had. I couldn't change any decimal values in RomRaider but it also works now.
Thanx Airboy :)

Are you using MS Excel or something else (OpenOffice perhaps)? The macros (Visual Basic) in the spreadsheet will only work in Excel.

If you don't need the interpolation functionality you could try this online logfile plotting site: http://www.waygate.net/plotter/

It's Excel 2004 for Mac, which is supposed to be compatible with Office 2k3 on Win.

Airboy, here's a modified acceleration plotter. It corrects the problem when time = 0 or time > 32,000. I added a small subroutine to always start from time = 200.

Airboy, I modified the spreadsheet to better work with the new ecu and logger defs.

The Left logic statement in the "Grab Headers" macros were replaced by the InStr module. This is to handle the new asterisk in front of the extended parameters.

Also, I noticed that the WG and Boost tables now use the actual throttle position instead of the ecu direct value. So, in the boost and wg interpolation spreadsheet, I changed the throttle column from 3 to 2.

Let me know if I misunderstood anything. Thanks.

I placed the asterisk at the end of the extended parameters in the latest logger update.

Thanks for the updates, mickyd.
I should really do an update to roll in some of your enhancements you have made and put that at the first page.

is this confirmed to work in Excel 2007?

I feel like a moron for asking, but are certain logging parameters required? Both Airboy's and Mickeyd's sheets crash for me when I click any of the checkboxes to make a graph.

I think I fixed it in 2007. I went into the security center and loosened the grip on some of it's settings, including full macro access and "access to developer object model" for debugging. Seems to have done the trick.

Previously, I was simply opening the security center and allowing macros, and that wasn't cutting the mustard.

Off to log!

EDIT: I was totally wrong. using my mouse scrollwheel while in the checkbox area on the "Data" page causes the sheet to crash. :?

Is there a metric mode or version ? I am struggling because my rom and logs are all in bar for boost.

Thanks
