I'll see what I can do to help out with this. I actually started to tinker with this a month or two ago. Let me know what you need me to do and I'll get started.

When I was looking into this before I found two "road dynos" online that may help out.

Hank was going to start working on the log parser, which I figured could then be used for the log viewer and for road dyno. If you guys want to get together, you could decide the best way to implement that.

You'll get a dyno graph from driving on the street. It'll look at your log (RPM, speed and time) and do the calculations from that.

It probably won't be quite as consistant (wind, inclines will throw it off) but you don't have to pay for dyno time.

This is the RoadDyno from NASIOC.
I took the road dyno they started with and added a simple tire calculator weight calculator and compare functions. Next is to add drag cof. Take a look let me know what you think.

Cool! I don't think it should be too hard at all to implement in Java.. I just don't like working with graphics.

I'm using NetBeans 5.0 ( http://www.netbeans.com)
Sun ONE Studio (which was, at least back in the day, was almost exactly the same) and Oracle's JDeveloper are both free, and I'm sure there are a million others. I just used to NetBeans.

Is the name of the project in the browser on the left red? If it is, you have some kind if issues to resolve (probably the path to JEP)
I've got some work to do today, when I finish up for the day I'll compress the entire project folder and upload it if that doesnt work.
