Very cool. Worked easily for me except for the app doesn't fit neatly inside of it's pre-defined windows box. I have scroll bars on bottom and on side... I tried to expand the window or to maximize but neither work. (It will let me re-size the window smaller, however) It's a small aesthetic issue but functionally it worked nicely with my '05 LGT and Tactrix (and old '99 laptop).

So... my FLKC table is all zeros except for one value of -0.5... (2600-3200 x 1.35-1.60). For such a small and singular instance I think I'll let it ride, but if it persists I guess I could go in and drop a little timing. Cool.

I'll fix that for the next release.

Also, just a general note - realize that the ECU clears the FLKC table whenever the IAM changes and obviously during a reset (the ECU is reset for most ECUs after flashing).

I have only seen positive FLKC once and that was on my friend's car. His IAM was less than 1 at the time.

No positive FLKC is allowed when the IAM is maxed. Also even if IAM < max, FLKC + (advance map * IAM) cannot be higher than the advance map (which is why no postive FLKC when IAM is maxed).

Updated Learning View to a new version with some minor fixes:

0.2a:
  • Autosize form to fix issue with scrollbars at max size on some machines.
  • Cleaned up toolstrip and added icons (freeware glyFX).
  • Added "about" box with version info
  • Test fix for strange rendering of "Engine Speed Ranges (RPM)" vertical text on some machines

Wow. "Autosize" and "toolstrip" and "glyFX" and "stage rendering" each and all make my tiny head spin. :)

Thanks for experimenting, really.

no problem. Ultimately this is a test in dealing with the SSM protocol so that I can create a RAM flashing utility for real-time tuning. I'm thinking of a tool that will patch ROMs with the RT code and allow user to open any ROM and flash the corresponding RT-equipped tables from that ROM to RAM. That way, you could use any editor you wanted and I wouldn't have to build an editor from the ground up just for RT tuning.

Excellent, no more scroll bars and the icons are good too. Good to hear that RT is still in the forefront ... it would be great to be able to make changes on the fly.

Did it also fix the "engine speed ranges (rpm)" text that looked like a different font on your machine (it should look the same as the "engine load ranges":

One of the best freeware tools to come out in a long time.

Thanks merchgod.

You should sticky this thread.

"Learnt Corrections Display" (LCD) describes your little program better than "Learning Tool," I think. :)

Nope, still looks looks like a bold version of the font. FYI I am running Vista on a 17" UXGA laptop 1920x1200 if that makes any difference.
