Was wondering if anyone new the differences so I could create a DEF file off of A2ZJB10J.. Instead of creating a new one from scratch.

There's support for the A2ZJB10J in the current definition file. Unless you mean you are creating one for the A2ZJB11J. If you are, post up this ROM and I can create definitions for it.

I've noticed that there is a 80 byte shift alot of areas, while other areas are untouched and identical to the A2ZJB10J.

I'm kinda new to these projects. I used to do a little embedded programming a long time ago, mostly as a hobby. Getting into my ECU got me excited again. If anything I would like to get my ECU equiv to a Cobb or Vishnu Stage 1 setup. I'll eventually get a Hydra system in the end.

I have a lot of fun tuning, especially when it's free. :D

I added your revision to the XML I'm working on. It should be released soon when the new RomRaider release comes out in the next few days. It was very close to the 10J, identical up until around 0xc76000. Any offset after that had to be adjusted.

I assume those are some sort of Model Number or Revision level of the ECU?

Yes, the A2ZJB11J is the calibration ID or also known as the revision. As Subaru notices problems throughout the year, they update the ECU to a newer revision and all cars on the assembly line at that point get the new revision. Also, Subaru sends the new revision to dealers who can flash it to earlier production cars. Subaru might make 3 or 4 or more different revisions for each model and year. The issue is when Subaru changes these revisions, often times the data gets shifted around. So most of the time, you need a different XML ecu definition for different revisions so that your tuning program can point to the right values.

Your revision is included in the lastest release of RomRaider - 3.1, released today.

Often it's just minor changes in the Programming Logic which nets in a shift of the Data reference storage locations. It can only be seen through dissasembly and currently I've only been able to dissasemble about 1/2 of the DBW Rom's data successfully.
