I have a little Sony Vaio laptop that I use for all my tuning. I dropped it a week ago about from about a foot from the carpet, catching it with my foot to try to break the fall. Well, after that, there was a line that goes down the middle of the screen. Then, today, the screen has gone completely white and I can't see a thing.
Having worked in retail, I know that sending it to service through Circuit City and Best Buy is going to cost more than just getting a new laptop. What are my options? Do you think Sony would sell me the screen by itself? I know I can hook up an external monitor, but that would be kind of difficult for the purpose of tuning as well as logging. I also already have a nice desktop. Is the laptop salvageable in any way? I don't have the dough to buy a new laptop.
