Quick question:

Does the 'Overlay Log' function require a 'current' logging? I guess a better asked way, is: Can, say, a log that was don today, and saved, be overlayed on a table to see the touched cells?

(or do I need to delete this and move it to another thread? )

in short, no. i did start on some stuff sometime last year to allow the playback of logs which would include this, but never got around to finishing it.

I used the Injector tab with success yesterday. Recorded the data for about 30 minutes or so and then interpolated and applied the data with no problems.

I was able to successfully use the injector tab today .. updated the scalar and latency no problem. This is on a USDM '04 WRX.

Is the output considered ready for prime time kascade? I ask this because I am using stock injectors but it wanted to up the scalar from 420.3 -> 437.45 and adjust the latency -.20

Is this typical to see with stockers?

Thanks again kascade!

Jeff

Are you using the stock air box too, or an after market intake?

I was able to record, interpolate and update ROM successfully using both MAF and Injector tabs yesterday on my 04 WRX.

Make sure you have the latest JAVA update. I installed openoffice yesterday and it overwrote my "Update 5" with Update 4 and everything stopped working.

That number would depend on the fuel density (which can vary by several %), that is used in the calculations.

From logging this morning, on my way to work..

Logged both Fuel and MAF, simultaneously. I did not use the Fuel table updating, or the Latency updating function on my "current ROM, but did make a generic 'test' ROM to verify updates. It worked for all 3 (maf, inj., lat.)

Here's screenshots of the Fuel and MAF tabs.

The logging included some decels, shifts, etc., as well as a 5th gear, 60mph, 2-3% grade incline, loading it down, but staying just outside of positive manifold pressure.

The little "clump" in the 1.3-1.4 MAFv range is idling ranges..

I forgot to take a screenshot, but After one iteration from the previous post, I'm +/- 8% on the MAF.

8)

now, if this could only help my OL on idle transition, I'd be golden! lol (car goes to OL on decel to idle, and sits 10-11:1 AFRs for 3-5 seconds.. )

Thank you!!!! Your work is appreciated so much... I'll be 'testing' this on an 07 STi tomorrow if all goes as planned.

I'm changing my injectors tomorrow and am really looking forward to using this new version to get things in line.

Is there a best order to work on injectors and maf scaling (as in start with injector tuning until its in good shape, then move on to MAF scaling)?
Will this new release make it possible to get both aftermarket intakes and aftermarket injectors tuned together more easily?

Quick summary of my situation:
a while back I put in APS 70mm CAI and PE 800cc injectors at the same time (yeah, woops).
I've had trouble getting my injectors tuned properly. I know its possible to do, but following some tuners recommendations I decided to switch to DW 750cc injectors instead which I am installing tomorrow.
So, new combo is APS 70mm CAI and DW 750cc injectors. I'll start with the injectors scaled slightly undersized and use stock latency values. Is it possible from there to use the injector tuning tab to try to fine tune the injectors even without having my MAF scaling perfected yet?
Hope this makes sense, and hope its on topic enough to be here. If not I can repost in a new thread...

^^^ I would not suggest wasting time by starting with default latencies. You know you are gonna need to increase them, and that increase is gonna be pretty much the delta % size difference between your old injectors and new injectors.
