*** SOLD ***
Green extended cab 2WD 1997 ford ranger. Originally a 4 banger. DJM 4/5 drop Chrome 18s, good tires Shaved door handles w/electronic poppers
Engine: 5.0 Fuel injected 1991 A9L Mustang computer and harness 1997 Ford Explorer shortblock, 28k miles 1995 Cobra GT40 iron heads Ported, polished cobra R double valve springs, steel locks and retainers FMS B-303 cam FMS 1.6 roller rockers Explorer GT40 intake L&L tri-y headers, dual exhaust Flowmaster 50s L&L oil filter relocation L&L solid motor mounts MSD 6AL w/autometer tach Motor is in perfect condition
Tranny: 1993 WC T5 Its more or less broken. It will move the truck thats about it. FMS flywheel FMS heavy duty clutch/pressure plate L&L hydraulic clutch T5 conversion Custom crossmember Solid tranny mount Custom shifter
Rear end: 4.0 explorer rear diff assy 10" drums 31 spline carrier/axles 3.73 gears new clutch packs
Things it needs: Wiring isnt done, has draw, kills battery if left connected. Needs new radiator, the one in it's broken and leaking. Needs a tranny, has a T5 in it but its broken. Paint is ok, its not rusty, but its no show winner.
Truck will come with a 4 cylinder T5 that can be used in the interim if needed. Truck will also come with a summit aluminum radiator.
Oxy sensors, MAF, and all necessary sensors are on the truck. Will run right now, but wiring should be re-done for frequent use. I've driven the truck to the track and back, no problems with overheating or fuel injection. Went there and back on one tank of gas from dudley.
Dont have time to work on it or do anything with it, its just sitting at my house. New job > working on ranger.
$2500 takes it........ Its in Dudley at my house if anyone wants to look at it...

Any pics?
I've been looking for a decent fox for months with no luck. A 5.0 Ranger is kick-ass. Is the trans good enough to make an hour drive the way it is? Know of any inspection issues with a truck that new and a motor swap, or am I making that one up?
let me know

mike - still have the head for the '97 2.3? I'm in need of a 2.3L dual-plug head, complete.
Mine locked the cam-bearings and broke the t-belt..
Hmm, might need an entire 2.3, the more i think about it..
At any rate, good luck with the truck sale!

looks like a kick ass truck. I ended up buying the '86 GT. What are you up to these days? I'll bring it down one of these weekends.
