Releases includes 4 maps (91 and 93 octane).

R30:
Alternate WG duty settings for faster spool
91 and 93 octane maps included
Emissions related (EGR AVCS) removed (thanks to Turbo_Mike of romraider.com)
New AVCS mapping (thanks to walloftvs of romraider.com)
Mimicked DBC throttle (thanks to ev8siv3 and Turbo_Mike of romraider.com)
All timing fixes (thanks to merchgod of romraider.com)
Normalized ramped KC table (loads above 1.1 always +6)
Boost target increase for 1st gear speeds.
Custom increased boost (14 PSI max 3rd gear)
Custom timing mimicking stock timing without the emissions shelf.
Stock fueling.
Top speed limit set to 186 mph.
0'd CL/OL delays.
Upped rev limit to 7000 rpm
Knock sensor inactive past 6550 RPM (aids in powershifting)
Low speed boost target 15% increase cutoff at 35 mph.

Requirements:

Stock air filter ok.
K&N or other type of drop in air filter ok.
Stock or aftermarket catback exhaust ok.

FYI This series of maps has run several 13 second passes at 2 different tracks for over a year now on multiple cars without issue. Very conservative map to start tuning from.

Do not flash the 06 WRX map on an 07 WRX and vice versa.

Enjoy!

Gabe

I´ve been running this map on a stock 07 wrx for a week now, runs nice, no knock events at all, I´ll have to adjust boost/wastegate setting a bit becaused i´m not hitting target boost (max is 12.8 in 3rd gear in the logs, probably altitude is bugging). Other than that it´s great, thanks Gabe!

Comparing the 91 and 93 octane maps on RomRaider, there seems to be no difference in timing or target boost between them. Am I crazy?

I don't remember what I did to be honest. I think I run the 93 maps a tad leaner is all. I could be wrong, but they are both so conservative that they could both run on 91 I bet.

First of all - thanks for the maps.

I use them right now as a starting point for my 06 EDM WRX. As I know there aren't any big differences between the USDM and EDMs so I do merely copy and paste between your map and my stock EDM map to create a "stage 1 EDM" map.

Probably will try this map during the week and check if it is working with my "standard fuel" (95Okt ROZ) here in europe. As far as I can judge it right now (as I am quite new to tuning the maps) it should be a safe starting point. The 91 map isn't any leaner than the stock EDM map and the boost is only increased in mid-range - and just a few % at higher revs.

So thanks again, I'll report back when I have run a few logging sessions. ;)

Hi guys,

just had the chance today to flash the ECU (for the first time... ) and do a few test-pulls (3rd and 4th gear with all necessary data logged) and also one in 3rd and 4th gear just with rpm to do a road-dyno (to compare it to the stock map).
My first impression is really really good. No knock events under WOT. IAM initially hit 1. Actually it is pretty cool today (56° F) - so I'll test it again when its really hot to check if there is any knock....

And compared to the stock map I gained 27hp and ~35NM (25lbft) of torque.

So I am pretty happy right now. :)

Thanks again, kind regards renew

I have a 2005...can I copy and paste the values from these tables into a 2005 map?

No. You'll need to find a basemap for your MY car.

Yeah its normal. Dyno dynamics read low. This base map uses a minicked stock timing curve and stock fuel curve with a tad more boost and driveability tweaks. The driveability tweaks is what really propels it into the mid 13's not so much the tune itself.

ah ok i was just confused by someone elses post above mine that said they made 20 hp and my peak difference was about 2 hp although i will say the dyno curve looked much better starting around 40-60 mph. If you like i could post up my dyno of stock to your stg 1 map when my tuner sends me the dynosheets

Doesn't matter to me.

Some people are experiencing boost cut CEL in 5th. Can someone who is overboosting send me a good 3rd or 4th gear 2k-7k log of the following?

TOA
Primary WGDC
Atmospheric Pressure
Manifold Relative pressure (corrected)
Engine Load
Engine Speed

Also, if someone could log the 5th gear overboost condition, that would be great.

Thanks,

Gabe

Gabe,
Have you added the throttle map fix to the map? The R30 map goes WOT at like 60% pedal travel...which is probably why it kicks as hard as it does. I posted an excel file on the XPT site that had the adapted STI maps. Try them they are much smoother.
Been using the R30 for about a year and it kicks the stock tunes butt by a mile.
Just got a down pipe, so I'll probably be switching maps, thanks for all the work on yours.

It has the 06 STI style DBW throttle mapping. It is progressive.
