Yeah, FLKC change due to changing FLKC cell is easy to detect by logging the FLKC table offset. That's not what's going on here.

BTW, are you going to use the KS parameter in your spreadsheet?

So what's it mean when I have either 1) a change to Knock Sum (KS) but no change to IAM, FLKC, or FKBC or 2) when I have a change to IAM, FLKC, or FBKC, but no change to KS?

1. The ECU does not always respond to a knock event. Conditions determine which knock control element is active and further conditions dictate if any action takes place.
2. This would not occur, so you misinterpreted a change to the IAM, FLKC, or FBKC in relation to a change in knock sum.

It'll just be a hacked smaller spreadsheet. Knock sum makes it easier. However, I've discovered that a lot of people out there don't have it so the old spreadsheet will still need to stay.

Most do have it, just depends on the ECU. The following, generally, do not have the knock sum:
1. 512kb ROMs (meaning 04 models typically)
2. USDM 04-06 STi, 08 STi
3. 08+ Imprezas

CANbus ECUs are a little more sporadic as to whether a particular ECU has it or not.
