Hi Everyone,

I'm new to the ECU world and after finding out that it would cost me $1600 $AUD for a 5 min map dump, I thought there has got to be a better way. ECUT3k must be making a fortune!

I own a Subaru BE5 Liberty B4 TT 2003 Sportshift/Auto or as it's know on the otherside of the planet - Legacy RSK.

So far I am loving what I'm reading and looking forward to sharing the contents of my ECU and eventually be able to dive right in and tune her up.

Not sure how much work or if people have had experience in tuning up these twin turbo beats, but I can't wait to tap in.

To start off with I know I need to purchase a cable and start from there - so for my Australian model which cable do I buy?

OpenPort for Subaru Drive-by-wire vehicles
or
OpenPort for Subaru WRX and Drive-by-wire vehicles (what is the difference between the 2)

PEACE
Kosti

The cables are the same, just that the wrx version comes with the jumper blocks it needs to flash. You should just need the $79 one only.

Hi,

Thanks for your reply, so if I wanted to write to my ECU I wouldn't need the jumper block?

Cheers
Kosti
