This is the error I get in version 9 when trying to paste a 16 bit base map.

See the end of this message for details on invoking
just-in-time (JIT) debugging instead of this dialog box.

************** JIT Debugging **************
To enable just-in-time (JIT) debugging, the .config file for this
application or computer (machine.config) must have the
jitDebugging value set in the system.windows.forms section.
The application must also be compiled with debugging
enabled.

For example:

<configuration>
<system.windows.forms jitDebugging="true" />
</configuration>

When JIT debugging is enabled, any unhandled exception
will be sent to the JIT debugger registered on the computer
rather than be handled by this dialog box.

Version 8 does not appear to have this problem.

That error has to do with the version of .Net on your machine:

Quote:
Could not load file or assembly 'System.Core, Version=3.5.0.0...

That means it's looking for .Net 3.5.

Quote:
************** Loaded Assemblies **************
System
Assembly Version: 2.0.0.0
Win32 Version: 2.0.50727.832

That means you've got .Net 2.0.

I will add some code to check the .Net version and give a useful error message at startup, instead of just crashing later.

In the meantime, there's a link to install .Net 3.5 in the 3rd message in this thread.

This is he base timing map. It is easy to copy, and post wherever, but it doesn't copy the columns and rows. I can copy them on there own, but not as a complete table:

Load columns:

0.25 0.40 0.55 0.70 0.85 1.00 1.15 1.35 1.63 1.92 2.15 2.40 2.85 3.25 3.65 4.00

Rpm rows:

800
1200
1600
2000
2400
2800
3200
3600
4000
4400
4800
5200
5600
6000
6400
6800
7200
7600

ST or ATR is actually easier to use to copy stuff INTO then RR.

Uh I guess I will need to update that, Thanks! not that it matters but I was not encountering this with the version 8.

And again thanks for this tool, it has made it SO much easier to build timing tables and spot issues in others.

hope you don't mind me asking but how do I use this to figure out if I have a problem with my timing table?

This will only help you do the following:
* visualize and edit your total timing
* make changes you timing advance without changing total timing

Two ways to know if you have a problem with your timing:
1) Use Merchgod's 'Learning View' tool to see where the ECU is pulling timing
2) Log RPM, Load, AFR (from a wideband) and the "Knock sum" parameter, and pull timing (or add fuel, if you're lean there) from the areas where the knock sum when up.

The knock sum only exists with the 32-bit ECU and select ones at that (for example, USDM 04-06, 08+ STis do not have it, among others).

Sounds like you've got an older version of .Net installed. This needs .Net 3.5 to work.
Windows Update should be able to download and install it for you.

I wrote this with the assumption that all Subarus have the same size base and advance tables, but as you and Josh found, that's not always the case.

I still plan to fix that at some point, but I can't promise when.
