It has the 06 STI style DBW throttle mapping. It is progressive.

Actually is has 1 table from the WRX and 1 table from the STI, which is why it was jumpy. .....unless you changed it since I downloaded it from Braden's site.

That is because it was made before the other tables were released. You can modify the ETC settings as you see fit. ;)

Loads of people use it as a starting out point or just run as is. A guy in my neighborhood has been running this mapping (leaned out a bit as I tuned his car) for over a year. There are people who have been running it since I released it as well. I have never heard of any engine failure running this mapping. CBE exhaust is ok.

OL/CL delay removed. Wacky low RPM WOT timing removed, and a couple other drivability fixes. Gabe's map is basically stock with those fixes and some boost added to the low RPM range.

Hey Guys,

I live in Australia and have an 06 WRX, and been pondering whether I should try this map or not, only because I am not sure how it will run with our fuel and or weather especially during summer.

Is the map farely safe for warmer weather? I only ever run 98 premium fuel here in AUS so fuel is pretty high standard.

Also, I would have to copy and paste every part of the USDM map into my ADM map, am I correct? Or are you able to point out which bits have been changed so its easier?

Any info/feedback would be appreciated.

Regards
Wayne

I'm a bit new to the whole tuning thing, I flashed my ecu w/this map.. Did some datalogging and came up w/these results:
http://spreadsheets.google.com/ccc?key= ... MLbA&hl=en

Any input on what I got? I know i should have done 2k-6500, but got most of the power band, 2300-5900..

Looks good to me. A tad bit of FLKC, but nothing that I have not seen the stock mapping do.

Excellent map. I flashed this to my car about a week ago and I love it. I am going to start upping the boost a little.

Im trying to return my car to stock but unfortunately i lost the original pig tail connector for the stock boost solenoid. Would i just have to lower the wgdc to run the gm solenoid on this map?

My friends 06 wrx with the 91 map (he actually uses 93oct) sees 1.4 degrees of timing pulled at the lowest flow rate in 24-3600 rpms. Is this safe? We tried the 93 octane but it was pulling timing from multiple cells. What do you recommend for t his situation? I was wondering why his might be pulling soo much timing with a 93 map on 93.... as much as 2.xx degrees. I didnt save the learning view screen shot from the 93 map, but I did save it from the 91 map running 93 octane fuel. Thanks, either way a big improvement is felt just want to be sure whats safe etc.

The map is setup to learn to pull timing like the older WRXs do, quit saying it is knocking, it had one knock "event" which corrected. The problem with the factory map is that it keeps knocking (real knocking aka multiple knock events) before the ECU decides to pull timing. It has the two emissions related tables removed is basically all and a tad more boost. As long as your IAM is above 0.5, you are ok.
