JSarv confirms that they are both the same maps but with different 'names'.

Yep, the maps are the same, just that a hex comparison brings out differences other than those around 0x200 :?:

Been comparing the two hex files and looks like the hex values different in the 2006 rom are 0x6 more than those in the 2004 rom file :roll: Don't know if this would signify anything.....

2004 Grp N MAP (STi Computer Orig.hex) works with a 2005 V9 JDM STi. It has the inverted Neutral Position Sensor. So this shouldn't be right with V7-V8 STi with the normal NPS.

Drives quite well untouched. Antilag and LC didn't work. I don't have the IC AUTO/MAN installed yet. And kept the Group N Mode Byte to 136.

let me know

Don't think so, tried on one and couldn't get the engine to start. Try the 06 version of this rom also available in the forum.

Today flshed 2 group N maps 2004 2006 on my JDM STI ver7

Group N 2006 not working, engine not started
Group N 2004 i ok.

No need to make NPS invert. When pushing auto spray button, Grup N conditions met. Byte is 136. Antilag is working great. Launch too.

Hang on gents...

Just briefly read through this thread...
You guys loading this map on, and converting ecu from MAF to MAP based...?
No other changes required...?

Forgive my ignorance... :roll:

Reading the air temperature from the plenum mounted air temperature sensor found in the JDMs would be best too instead of from the MAF mounted one, I don't know whether non-JDM cars have this too

Ok, but is this additional sensor all thats required to make this map work on say a 2004 JDM STI...?

Nothing else...?

04 JDM STi already has the sensor in place and wired up to the ecu connectors though not used by the ecu; can be changed easily though.
