Are there dierctions anywhere on how to use this tool and properly make the changes to the MAF afterwards?
Searched but couldnt find anything, but will try and do some more digging now...

Directions are listed in the first tab of the spreadsheet - the tab is called "Directions" ;)

They are a little vague, but it doesn't really matter because the spreadsheet is pretty easy to use. Anyhoo, following are more detailed instructions - maybe they can be added to the Spreadsheet for future users.

NOTE: these instructions are specific to version 2.2 of Bad Noodles OLMAFTool and Airboy's latest logfile interpolation spreadsheet.

  1. Do several 3rd or 4th gear WOT logs from 2000rpm to redline
  2. Open Bad Noodle's OLMAFTool spreadsheet and minimise it
  3. Open Airboy's logfile interpolation spreadsheet, go to the "Data" tab and then import your first WOT log file
  4. In the same "Data" tab, click the green "Filter (WOT Data)" button to filter non-WOT data
  5. Leave Airboy's logfile interpolation spreadsheet open, but minimise it, and then open your ROM up in RomRaider
  6. Expand the "Fueling - Primary Open Loop" folder and open your "Primary Open Loop Fueling A" table
  7. When the "Primary Open Loop Fueling A" table opens on the right, select "Edit" from the top menu, and then select the "Copy Table" option.
  8. Go back to Airboy's spreadsheet and go to the "AFR Target" tab
  9. Right-click in cell T30 and select "Paste" (to paste your "Primary Open Loop Fueling A" table data) and then click the grey "Align and Move Copied Tables" button
  10. If you are using Office 2007 and recieve a visual basic runtime error, just click the "End" button
  11. The data from your "Primary Open Loop Fueling A" table will now be aligned and coloured correctly
  12. Go to the "AFR Interpolate" tab and click the grey "Clear Data" button, followed by the grey "Grab Headers (from Data page)" button and then the "Get Data" button. Finally, click the orange "Interpolate AFR" button
  13. Once the AFR interpolation is complete, save your Airboy's logfile interpolation spreadsheet - call it something useful (ie. I use file names like "airboy_ROM_v3_3rd_1" to easily identify what ROM the file is for and what run is saved in the file).
  14. Still in the "AFR Interpolate" tab, locate the two columns with the headings "Mass Airflow Sensor Voltage" and "AFR Error %" and select all the data in those two columns (ie. all data from E2 and F2 down)
  15. With the column data selected (indicated by dark border and shaded cells), right-click in the shaded area and select "Copy"
  16. Now maximise the OLMAFTool spreadsheet again and go to the "Data" tab
  17. You'll notice a number of grouped columns with headings "RUN 1", "RUN 2", etc - under "RUN 1", right-click in cell "A4" and select "Paste"
  18. This will paste the data you copied from the AFR Intorpolate tab in Airboy's log file interpolation spreadsheet
  19. Now save your OLMAFtool spreadsheet - again, call it something useful (ie. I use file names like "OLMAF_ROM_v3" to easily identify what ROM the file is for).
  20. Now rinse and repeat the above steps for all your WOT logs. If you have 3 WOT logs, you should end up with an OLMAFTool spreadsheet that has sets for "RUN" data
  21. After you paste the AFR interpolated data into your OLMAFTool spreadsheet, don't forget to click save
  22. Also, don't forget to name each of your Airboy logfile interpolation spreadsheet differently (don't save over the same file, incase you need the data at a later date).
  23. Once all your WOT log data has been copied into your OLMAFTool spreadsheet, minimise the OLMAFTool spreadsheet, and open your ROM again in RomRaider
  24. Once opened, expand the "Mass Airflow" folder and then open the "MAF Sensor Scaling" table
  25. When the "MAF Sensor Scaling" table opens on the right, select "Edit" from the top menu, and then select the "Copy Table" option.
  26. Go back to your OLMAFTool spreadsheet and go to the "Results" tab.
  27. Scroll all the way to the left, and right-click in cell "B1" and select "Paste", to paste your "MAF Sensor Scaling" table data
  28. Go back to the "Data" tab and click the grey "Go" button (top left) so the OLMAFTool starts processing your WOT log data
  29. Once the spreadsheet has completed processing your WOT log data, go back to the "Results" tab
  30. This is where you now have a few ways to proceed - quick, slow
    • quick
      • Simply copy the new "Airflow (g/s)" values (located on row 8) for the corresponding "MAF Sensor (volts)" values (located in row 2) directly into the appropriate place in your "MAF Sensor Scaling" table (ie. If you had a MAFv of 4.06 located at cell "AP2", the new corrected g/s value will be located at cell "AP8", so you would copy the value at cell "AP8" directly to your "MAF Sensor Scaling" table under the "MAF Sensor (volts)" value of 4.06)
    • slow
      1. Go to the "Smoothing" tab
      2. Click the grey "Copy Updated" button (located near cell "AF4"), to copy your newly processed MAF scaling data to the the smoothing tab and plot it in the two graphs
      3. Now by clicking the grey "Smooth 3", "Smooth 5" and/or "Smooth 7" buttons, smooth out your MAF scale - changes are imediate and can be seen in the second graph
      4. BE CAREFULL not to smooth too much or you will end up making your MAF scaling worse - my suggestion is to click either the "Smooth 3" or "Smooth 5" button once.
      5. If you want to get anal, you can go through and highlight the g/s values and manually smoothen them before clicking the "Smooth 7" button.
      6. Once you have smoothed the data to your liking, copy the data to your "MAF Sensor Scaling" table. Row 1 of the "Smoothing" tab corresponds to "MAF Sensor (volts)" and row 2 of the "Smoothing" tab corresponds to "Airflow (g/s)"
  31. Once you have copied your new MAF scaling values from the OLMAFTool spreadsheet to your ROM, save a new ROM with the changes made.
  32. Flash the modified ROM to your ECU and do another set of WOT logs
  33. If you do 6 or so WOT logs each time, you should be able to get your OL MAF scaling to under 2% within a couple of revisions - it'll take many more revisions if you only do 1 or 2 WOT logs at a time.

That's it. It looks long and painful, but it is actually very easy after the first time. Enjoy :)

^damn those are some good directions.

I'm a little torn about putting them in. I was afraid that if I made the directions too clear, then less knowledgeable users would just throw numbers in and not double check them.

The tool should work well without much mitigation if everything else on the car is mechanically sound. But if you have a ebay intake, boost/vacuum/exhaust leaks, try to use it with the stock narrow band controller, it will just make things worse because the data going into it will be useless and unreliable. I figured that those that can understand the included directions know enough to use the tool as a supplementary aid rather than follow the suggested scaling blindly.

I want the most resolution in my WOT logs so I'd like to log the least number of parameters. What should I log? Sorry.. I it's been at least a year since I've done any intake scaling. This looks like a great tool!

Those are the only 4 parameters you need to log to use with the AFR Interpolate tab in Airboy's spreadsheet - however, IMHO it is also important to keep an eye on knock, so log knock count (32bit) or FBKC and FLKC (16bit).

In the results page, average error only covers up to column 221. Im getting all the way up to 3200 plus. Ok that I move it to that range instead or 221 is really what you wanted?
