I pulled the sheet, finally got my car back on the road and something is not right with the sheet. Probably changed too much stuff...

Did you get the sheet fixed. Im using office 2003 and the sheet didnt work. I changed some errors in the sheet and had it working with the data but you couldnt paste the copied rom and fuel table into the rom section. Also fixed an issue with the pivot table. I spent a few hours working on it and I had my laptop crash and I lost the sheet. If you fixed it I wont have to spend a few more hours working on it again. LMK

It wasn't really broken, was just in a rush and didn't look at the correct tab for what I was logging. I did add the [Table3D] so you can copy into RR. What was the problem with the pivot table?

Im not really sure, It was something with the name not valid for the columns or something. It kept giving me the error and switching to debug and would highlite one of the names. I kept messing with it and it started working but I dont remember what exactley I did. Havnt had time to mess with it since. I will try to mess with it some tomarrow.

Hi,

First of all, thanks for this sheet, it's a little tough for me to wrap my head around all the changes with the new speed density tuning at first and I'm sure this will make my life a lot easier in the coming weeks. I just wanted to let you know that I'm trying to get the sheet to work here and it's giving a 'compile error - can't find file or library' and takes me to the debugger every time I try to click a button in any of the tabs. Admittedly, I'm not the best with Excel macros so this may be something simple I'm not doing, but I'm not sure. I tried redownloading and extracting again with no luck. Can you offer me any things to try?

Thanks,

Going to take a wild guess...you don't have the trilookup function loaded?

"rev3 notes
*you need to download and install the trilookup addon http://www.trimill.com/TriLookup/TriLookup.htm some of the functions in there have made this a lot easier to work with. It's shareware, but it's only $20.00."

Wow, and it's even in yellow in the notes.. I'm gonna try to blame that one on the head cold I'm fighting today but I still should have caught it. Thanks for the help!

Not sure how many people actually use the sheet, but I am working on modifying the way the sheet splits the error between the cells. Currently each of the four cells used to interpolate the fueling get the full correction, which I don't think is the correct way to do this. In my mind what should happen is the cells closer to the logged value should get a higher percentage of the correction.
This SHOULD improve the corrections. Any thoughts, comments, suggestions?

I did use it for a bit, but had to modify it a little - and even then the results were still not ideal for some reason.

If you can get this to work better, then I'll test it out again for you if you like.

What are you using now? I am trying to find a good tool to help me tune this thing...

I've gone back to MAF until I get enough time to fit an IAT in the inlet manifold.

If you are trying to sort out SD, then the best utility for SD (initially) is Jsarv's "speed density fuel to load" spreadsheet (HERE). Basically it converts load g/rev from your MAF based tune to DS load comp for the Group N ROM.

As long as your MAF tune was spot on (MAF scaling was perfect, learned fuel trims under +-3%,injector size and injector latency correct) and you have lots of logs that have at least mrp, load(g/rev) and rpm, then you should be right when converting from MAF to SD.

From there, you just log and make changes as required to hit your targets - for me I slightly modified Airboy's spreadsheet to plot fueling using absolute pressure (instead of load) and made small adjustments to the SD table based on corrections being applied.

BCheck's spreadsheet worked ok at getting things in the ballpark, but it never quite got things perfect (at least for me).

I'll get the IAT sensor in and get back on SD in the next few weeks and have another look at bcheck's spreadsheet to see what can be done to make it perfect :)

Leslie

Updated the sheet. If you can perfect it please do, but please post your work back so I can incorporate it. Thanks.

I'll try SD again next week and give your spreadsheet a good workout and post results :)

cool ;-)
Also, something to keep in mind, I think i had to modify the AFR table once it was imported. I just changed the last column to be higher than the highest logged MAP reading. I found that to be the easiest 'fix' for data that was 'out of range' in the fuel table. I'll have to remember to add that to the info tab...
