I have a card installed and can log to it when RR is not running. With RR logger running and connected, it logs as normal and nothing goes to the card. I would imagine that is as Colby intended.

Can you help me make a log file with these parameters? Can this be activated by throttle position (100%) ?

My ECU id is 5C42504007
Internal id is AZ1G101N

Parameters I need:

Engine Load (1-byte)** (g/rev)
Engine Speed (rpm)
Feedback Knock Correction (1-byte)** (degrees)
Fine Learning Knock Correction (degrees)
IAM (1-byte)** (multiplier)
Ignition Total Timing (degrees)
Manifold Relative Pressure (4-byte)* (psi relative)
Mass Airflow (g/s)
Mass Airflow Sensor Voltage (V)
Primary Wastegate Duty Cycle (%)
Throttle Opening Angle (%)

Can't test it for you, so try it out. Logging cannot be started or stopped by throttle position with this utility. I know there is a way to do that but you'll have to dig it out of the sample file yourself. The one I made for you uses the defogger button.

You need to edit the file manually to enable throttle activation.

It would look like:
conditionrpn = Throttle_Opening_Angle(%),99,>
action = start

conditionrpn = Throttle_Opening_Angle(%),99,<
action = stop

Thanks redwagon and mdedwar! :-)

mdedwar, so I just replace this with what you posted. Great! I'll try both triggers (one file each) and get back to you guys later on (+8gmt)

paramname = defogger_sw
paramid = 0x64
databits = 1
offsetbits = 5
isvisible = 0

conditionrpn = defogger_sw,1,==
action = start

conditionrpn = defogger_sw,0,==
action = stop

Thanks , it does work! I just have to remember to pull out the tactrix when I park the car as it wont auto shut off right?

I've attached what has been logged. Is the sampling time similar to what rom raider does? Thanks for this, now no more need to lug around the laptop just for logging!!! :-)

Oh good. Glad that worked out.

The way that time is logged is different from RR logger so I have never gotten good acceleration data from logs to the card, at least not with airboy's spreadsheet. But I tend to evaluate my map with the notebook on board and just do an occasional log to card to check fuel and timing correction is still good as weather conditions change.

No, the OP doesn't go to sleep when the car is switched off. Colby commented in another thread that it doesn't draw much current, but you are better off removing it if the car will be parked for a while. I always remove mine because the lights cycling down there may attract thieves, plus the more I get used to leaving it there the more likely I am to leave it plugged in and go on vacation. Flat batteries suck...

If you can do the CAN RAM parameter patch in ecuflash then you will get approximately 10x the amount of logging compared to RR.

Yeah and it did work so well. No more lugging around the lapto and risking it fly when you hit the brakes. haha :D

If my tuner asks me to log, best to just use RR logger? The time intervals right now with OP are .25 of a second per sample right? Is that still slow? Anyway to make it log faster? I see the patch open on ecuflash. If I do this and upload, how does the new can parameters work?

If I just stay with standard OP sd card logging, what would be the maximum number of logged parameters and still get a good log? We cant log too much right?

Thanks

Hi Redwagon,

Can you add Engine Load (1-byte)** (g/rev) ? I just saw that its not included in the logcfg and my logs. Thanks!

thanks Redwagon! I got to figure everything out already after you helped me. In fact, Im now logging via CAN. Appreciate you taking time out.

question I have for CAN:

1.How to implement that slow group Colby was taking about?
2.How to log innovate lc-1?

Is there a parameter to see the cruise control button? I want to initialize and stop logging by pressing the cruise control button instead of the defogger switch.

Pretty sure you just set the "sampgroup" and/or "priority" in the cfg.

MFB wrote:

Have not tried it yet, but you need to connect your LC-1 to the 2.5mm input of the OP2, and in the log cfg file add the following to the very top before the current "type=" statement:
Code:
type=inno
paramname = mylc1.afr
paramid = 0x0101
scalingrpn = x,14.7,*

And it should then log WB02 for you.

I've been able to use this for quite sometime now. However, there will be times that the OP2 will just hang (blue light)

Hopefully will get to help Colby make aem uego wb work as well. Just got a 2nd hand set today. LC1 is for rma after just a few months of use. :-(
