The only thing it records from the ECU is Vehicle Speed > 0. It uses speed and time to calculate how far you've travelled and when you get to 1/4 mile it stops and plots.
The only setting that you have to select is the Car type. All the others are ignored (in the future I'm going to fix it so only the relevant buttons show and nothing else).

Can you zip your 'romraider.log' file from the RR install directory and post/PM it to me?

No or minimal wind...I also did a quick log and ran it on my standard Airboy Spreadsheet and Data Log Lab Dyno calculators and neither of them showed the dip...I think (hope) was just operator error or a first time user quirk somewhere....anyway I did not plan to even mention it so I did not keep the log and edited most of the dip out so I will wait until I do a legit dyno run before I get too concerned.

As for the delta weight, my car is pretty heavy with a delta of +350-450 depending on the equipment I have in it...(includes my 6'3" 225# driver's seat cargo). The default that comes up is 225# so even if I add my delta to the cars default weight, I will have to turn around and readjust the default 225# delta weight to 0...might as well just leave it be and figure I have to change the default # to 350-450#...I was hoping to change the defaulted 225# to around 400# so if I forgot to change it at least it would be close if not exact.

Hey, i have no REAL complaints...it works great for me even with the minor inconveniences I mentioned..I'll wait for the release for the final version to see what gets worked out/in.

So I delete the current RomRaider.log file and then after I run my logset, dyno run, and et run tomorrow (have to send a logset to my tuner...dyno and et runs are only for my enjoyment) I will zip a copy of the "new" romraider.log and post/pm it??

Where exactly is the log file that you need? I looked in RR folder in Program files and I see a log4j.properties file, is that the one?

If you start to go and let up just a little does it stop recording, I may have delayed WOT just a bit- I'll try it again tonight on the way home

Yes in that directory. It's called romraider.log
Dyno stops if throttle is less that 98%.
ET does not stop as you need to shift gears if you have a manual. It's a distance limit that stops the recording.

OK, I went out today when I did my logging pulls for Jeremy (Testes1010), my tuner. I tried the dyno and got varied results but failed to save any since I was short on time and know it at least works even if it or more likely my technique needs fine tuning. I was more interested in trying the ET function since I had not tried it yet and more importantly getting my logging pulls for tuning purposes.

See RR.log file zipped below for your viewing pleasure...

I tried the ET function but after I set the car settings and pushed the record et or start tab I stopped and then gave it a 1/4 mile run but got no response whatsoever and no reading afterward and I surpassed the quarter mile mark by a couple hundred feet at least. So I could not get it to work.

As far as logging and the LC-1 issue...Before I run my 3 logging pulls for my tuner, I reset the ecu. The program reads ecu fine anytime so far...however, if it recognizes the lc-1 and is reading from it and I reset the ecu, when I re-start the car, the parameters all come up and start monitoring on the car sensors but the LC-1 signal does not. In the settings, it keeps the "Port 2" setting but does not recognize the wbo2 signal unless I turn the program off entirely, disconnect the LC-1's usb connection, change the Innovate wbo2 port setting to Port 1, plug in the LC-1's usb connection wait a few seconds and change the Innovate wb02 port back to Port 2. Then it will usually begin to read the LC-1 again....so needless to say I spent a lot of time this morning idling on the side of the road waiting for the laptop to reboot and the program to recognize the LC-1 and waiting for clear traffic before I could do the logset..

Is there a way to stop the RR road dyno beta from logging? My log file is 300+ mb already! :D I got some funky results with the dyno run and my forester XT edm automatic. :-)

That would only happen if you pressed the Record Dyno button and never go to WOT.
Press the button again to stop it manually.

Ok, I know what happened. :-) Ideally road dyno should be done on a flat level road right? The max torque seems to come to early as compared to what I see on a dynojet.

The dip you mention around 6400 RPM is exaggerated in the combined graph but it is noticeable a little bit in each individual run. From what I can tell, there's a change in the engine acceleration that contributes to it. Maybe, no expert here, there's something in your fuel, timing, boost maps that cause this???

Are you using a serial to USB adaptor for the LC-1?
In the external sensors, try unchecking the Innovate AFR item before the ECU reset. Once the car is up again, re-check that item. When you do this it releases the serial connection and reestablishes it on checking again.

I don't know how much it influences the results, you are fighting gravity as well as wind.
As for the max torque...all the Logger does is read your ECU RPM and calculate how fast the RPM is changing (accelerating). That is really what drives the shape of the torque curve.

Yes I am using a Serial to USB adapter for the LC-1. I will try your suggestion later this week when I do my next logset.

I looked at the spread sheet and the numbers on the graph are not representative of what is in the text portion at the bottom of each page...why is that? The text results in the spread sheet are running ~10+ hp higher than what is represented on the graphic.

Also I did not see any info relating to weight delta. Since I run heavy, this is also an important piece of info that needs to be included. When doing these logs, I was on my way home from work and running a wt delta of around 450# or a total weight of ~3700#.

The graphs were the individual runs. The text at the end of the data on each sheet is an accumulative total as each run occurred. I just used the default weight, so your heavier car will push the numbers up from what is on each graph.
