I suspect that big dip is due to one or more of your runs cutting your run short. So if you had a run that only went to say 6200 RPM then it could drag that area down like you typically see at the end of a single pull.
Similar to what happen here viewtopic.php?f=14&t=39&start=160 in the attachment.

The files are in the RomRaider installation directory where the .jar was put. They are called 'romraider.log', or if you have the extensions turned off, 'romraider' with some icon that may or may not be related to a log file.

New test version attached to post topic39-34.html
Now at rd-v15 which works around the problem where the Logger will not connect to the ECU if your computer has no COM ports. This works for the new OpenPort 2.0 driver which is J2534 only.
Also added a 0-60 marker in ET mode.

Champion Dale - will test this evening :)

Will you be putting all your work in SVN so the boys can build a new release candidate with all this in it (especially the OP2 changes for support for the latest OP2 beta drivers)?

Leslie

P.S. Paul, if you are browsing, can you implement at least the OP2 changes and roll another release candidate :D

All my stuff is in a branch of the svn now. Just not merged into the trunk yet.

I just tried your latest "dyno" patch Dale and can confirm the OP2 is located and used now without any problems and no more need for your previous suggested work around - great stuff mate :)

All good Dale, Paul is onto it, and fingers crossed he will find time over the new few days/week to work his magic and roll a new release candidate with your OP2 fix and dyno tab included :)

New test version attached to post topic39-34.html
Now at rd-v16 which correctly reads OpenPort 2.0 log files into Dyno tab.

I'll try it shortly - but what was actually the problem with v15 - the dyno tab seemed to be working for me when using the op2 and the latest beta drivers?

It was the "after fact" reading of OP2 logs from file, the time field was not being identified and the time values need to be converted from seconds to milliseconds. No other change than that.
You should be able to load up these log types as long as they contain time, rpm (or vehicle speed for AT) and throttle angle:
RR logs
AEM logs
AP2 logs
ATR logs
ST logs

Tried it with my op2 cable and it worked without problems. As for loading logs, are you saying I can load any RR log and it will filter for WOT data and plot the result?

Leslie

Yes. Right under the Record Data button check Load from file. Then click the Read from File button.
You must have missed that post ;-)

Not sure what's happening on my computer when I replace the original romraider.jar file with the one that has the dyno, I lose access to my innovate LC1. Under the plugins tab, there is only the AEM uego available. No LC1 or innovate wideband options. This has happened everytime I've done this, on several different computers one running winXP and the other two running windows7. I can't find any mention of innovate anywhere in the logger now.

Any suggestions?

Hi:
You need to be running the 0.5.3 RC5 installation before you can copy over the jar file for the dyno functionality.
In the RC5 version the LC-1 plugin has been replaced by a generic "Innovate Wideband AFR" plugin for serial connected WB02 and "Innovate LM-2 [mts]" for non-serial WB02.

What specific name parameters is needed for this to work properly? My subaru is 4eat, I must have vehicle speed or rpm is enough? I tried it on my existing CAN logs but Im getting outrageous figures.

For an AT car you need time, vehicle speed and throttle angle.
It is looking for these column headers (rename (case sensitive) as required) from an OP2 log:
Code:
time, Vehicle Speed, Throttle

If you are missing Throttle, just add a column and mark the rows that were at 100%.

To identify your speed, switch to the Data tab, scroll to the bottom and set the units value to mph or kph which ever applies to your logged Vehicle Speed value.

Here are the unique log headers needed to identify the log type and Time units to the Dyno tab.
RR_LOG_TIME = "Time"
COBB_AP_TIME = "Seconds"
COBB_ATR_TIME = "Time Stamp"
AEM_LOG_TIME = "Time/s"
OP2_LOG_TIME = "time"
LOG_RPM = "RPM"
LOG_ES = "Engine Speed"
LOG_TA = "Throttle"
LOG_VS = "Vehicle Speed"
