Feature request?

I'm digging the ability to edit the map in 3d, but.. Any chance that we could also have a 3d view that would just show smooth interpolated curves?

Thats on my list :) I've changed the underlying code to facilitate that (hence no major screenshot updates). I'll add this request to a list in the main thread.

I'll might need some help actually. There are a few more steps before 3d integration is finished.

1) I was only able to pull out a portion of the axis labels. See the picture on the first post. Where can I get the rest?

2) I can't find where to get the axis values. You know, say on the RPM axis there are values of |0|100|200|300|.... up to whatever max RPM the axis shows. Where are these or how do you derive them in your table?

3) I've almost finished setting up a event/listener pair. Your Tables will need to implement the listener interface and register with the 3d graph to be notified of data changes. In hopes of cutting down processing time I'll return a Vector of tableElements() <my own type>. tableElements() will have a int x,y; float value to avoid full table updates. I'll get that code done in a few days.

4) Like 3 above, we can reverse things so my 3d graphs can listen for updates to your tables.

Tgui, I just noticed this post without a reply from me. I think I sent you a PM but I can't remember for sure. Did I?

Tgui, I haven't been able to do a lot of testing, but is 3D ready for a release? If there's nothing holding us up I'd like to get a test release out for people to play with and hopefully not break.

I'm leaving for Houston this evening to visit family. Given I have the time, I'll commit the latest 3d code before then. More than likely I'll find a machine Sat morn and take some time to cut out test code and post what remains.

Theres only 1 bug that I can think of. Well, that and needing a machine with lots of ram (I'm also working on reducing ram reqs).

Alright, the wife is in class tonight... I'm tired as hell but I'm going to do my best to at least figure out coloring in the 3D graphing. I haven't touched the code in what seems like forever. I have a hard time getting back in to it but once I do I usually stick with it for a significant amount of time, so who's ready for some new features? :)

Thanks man. I just need the min and max values of the table from which the 3d is being launched.

Tgui, I'm having trouble getting my environment set up (in netbeans) with the 3D graphing. I added "-Djava.library.path=lib -Xmx256M" to my arguments (and tried about half a dozen ways to tell it the abolute path) and I get this exception:

Code:
java.io.FileNotFoundException: -Djava.library.path=\Documents (The system cannot find the path specified)
        at java.io.FileInputStream.open(Native Method)
        at java.io.FileInputStream.<init>(FileInputStream.java:106)
        at RomRaider.ECUEditor.readFile(ECUEditor.java:420)
        at RomRaider.ECUEditor.openImage(ECUEditor.java:371)
        at RomRaider.ECUExec.main(ECUExec.java:52)

Ideas? I know, I know.. netbeans.. but I'm used to it. :)

You tried the whole absolute path c:\doc\blah blah\lib ?

In eclipse when you define a project like RomRaider there is an arguments section. In it you can define JVM variables like -Djava.library.path, and all paths are absolute or relative to the project directory. Not much help man, sorry. I just dont know netbeans. Now, if you wanted to move up from your scooty puff jr. to eclipse, I could help.

step 1, install linux....

kascade might be using netbeans, and if so he'd have to know about setting the java.library.path as thats needed for his RXTX packages.
