Have you tried to change the regional setting to US?

It may be getting confused by the decimal point in the number "45.45xxx"

Have you tried using different regional settings?

if you are referring to the second listbox where you select vehicle speed, that is only used for automatic transmissions. Leave the check-box blank. For manual transmissions, the macros uses rpm data to calculate vehicle speed.

my bad
I was under impression it takes vehicle speed into consideration when it does calculations, which is why I thought I was getting odd numbers since I log in kms and the file uses mphs :)

Hi,

Whats the gear ratio, final drive for a forester xt 09/10? Since Im using KPH, do I need to convert to mph so I can tick on auto?

Whats the best type of wot run for this? 2nd gear at 2500 rpm to red line?

Regards

If you have an auto transmission and is using the "auto" option, gearing won't matter as it is ignored in the calculations. You do need to log vehicle speed and enter the weight of the vehicle in the table. Either change the units in the logger to mph or you have to manually convert the data if you want to use existing logs with kph.

for a 4eat, is it preferred to use the auto or thru gearing?
Attached is my log. I cant get it to calculate using the accel worksheet. Logged using CAN, tactrix op2.

Pretty much have to use vehicle speed (tick Auto checkbox) for automatic transmission since the toque converter doesn't lock up until higher up in rpm. Using rpm vs time in this case would give a (false) toque spike while the converter is slipping.

I ran your log file through and it worked. What error are you getting?

When I pick mph (one I converted) and choose auto, I get runtime error "11" Division by Zero.

Trying to use the up and down arrows in the timing areas takes a very long time. Is there any fix to this? It's like it is calculating stuff every time I change a value, so hitting the arrow once take about 5-8 seconds before I can hit it again. This makes smoothing maps very hard.

So I guess what I'm trying to ask is, can I set it to NOT calculate and graph stuff every time I hit the arrows, so I can work quickly?

It calculates quickly when I use the arrow buttons (Excel 2003). The macro updates the values in the selected cells and that is it. Which version of Excel are you using?

Office 2007. I have a laptop with a 2ghz dual core AMD Turion and 2gb of RAM. It's not top of the line but I don't think it's THAT slow...

Does the other functions in the spreadsheet run slow as well? I haven't heard from Excel 2007 users about speed issues.

You running it in "compatibility" mode?
