Let me know if you need anything else.
Thanks

Thanks again for your help,
I have got it working, Although it moved the DBW table near the top of the list. (can't be bothered fixing it)
i Have attached the ecu defs file if anyone wants it for a AZ1E400C (ADM 2008 WRX)
I'll try Flashing it on my car tomorrow.

Would be great if this is available for the AT as well.

In the AT ROMs I've looked at so far, it's a two line table, 1st gear and 6th gear and it is all set at 500. I'm not sure how you would use it but I haven't looked at the logic either yet to understand what else is going on, and there is quite a bit in that routine and some may be specific to AT vs MT.

Thanks guys, appreciate the help on this! I got the code in already. I'll go test it out and see how it works out for my AT set up. eminehart, seems this is the same table as discussed here http://www.romraider.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=25&t=4428So having extremely high values means table is using normal. Changing these values as per you example activates it. Its the per gear boost control that shows a lot of promise for the AT.

eminehart wrote: Nope. I was just about to look that up. LOL. You saved me a few minutes. Having high values is normal. should be 500's. Setting up the rest of the map to take advantage of it is the key. There are a couple ways of doing it. You could set up boost tables to have individual columns for 1st through 4th gear. Or like I outlined here http://www.3gwrx.com/forum/index.php/topic,18606.0.html. A way of using Requested torque to raise WGDC per Gear. Basically with this method the more REQ TQ the more WGDC. Basically this way is simpler to implement and probably faster to tune. Just setup your boost tables for smooth boost in 4th and 5th and then raise up the rest of the gears till they are the way you want them.

Seems like my avcs table (the way its set up for spool) interferes with more wgdc. This is useful if you dont reach target boost.
Can you run an airboy with and without this tweak?

Very well done Sir! Any chance you can put up the code for AZ1E400U?
Dale, is there any chance of including this into the standard ecu definitions? Seems pretty straightforward....

:notworthy:
My last big problem with my mapping at this time is that I can get one of two things:
1. Smooth boost curve in 3rd gear with best possible spool and no spiking. If I do WOT in 4th from 2k I will get a big TD intervention during spool as I overboost.
OR
2. Smooth boost curve in 4th, best spool, no spikes. WGDC is then so low than in 3rd gear it takes forever to spool.
Of course I have tuned for 3rd and just don't do WOT from 2k in 4th gear, but it would be nice to have it all...
If I read your tutorial correctly, I could limit targets in 3rd gear somewhere between 2nd and 4th to allow me to tune for 4th gear and still get higher WGDC in 3rd?
Note that my car is EDM and has 4.444:1 rear gears as stock, which makes spool in 3rd gear about 300rpm slower than in a USDM car.

Hmm. Thinking through your tutorial, it gives me an idea. Please shoot me down in flames if I have it all wrong! Let's say my throttle map currently looks like this: Attachment: v223_throttle.JPG Would pasting the values from the 100% into the rows for 4th and 5th gears in the limit table, like this: Attachment: v301_rq_tq_limit.JPG ... allow me to keep my painstakingly chosen original WGDC values in those gears, while granting access to the full values in the 100% column in the new throttle map only to the lower gears.... Attachment: v301_throttle.JPG ... and move toward the values in the 512 column in the WGDC table... Attachment: v301_ini_wgdc.JPG ... like this? I am thinking that doing this would avoid seeing the higher values at any rpm range in the higher gears, and allow you to shape the requested torque curve as in the original table, but move the values higher, just for those lower gears... Or have got the concept all wrong?
