I am used to tuning under a MAP based system.
I see that in the stock ecu maps with RomRaider there is an RPM column and rows of "Engine Load."
What exactly do the engine load numbers represent? I figured it was MAF voltage. I wish I could see a trace of cells of an engine going through it's rev cycle on this type of map so I could target the rev range while tuning easier.
Thanks - Kyle

Load is the mass of air per cylinder charge in grams. NASIOC is blocked at work, so I'm going from memory here, but I think the equation is something like this..
MAF * 120(constant) / 4(cylinders) / RPM
Also, in ecuExplorer there is a large list of user variables. There are about 30 different addresses IAM is found at and about 50 for load in different ECUs, so if you go by trial and error you can find the correct addresses for your ECU. IAM will be between 0 and 16, load will usually be about .50 at idle.

Ignition advance multiplier. It starts at 8 and raises as your engine seems healthy. Your timing will be (base timing table) + (timing correction table) * (IAM / 16)

Now the other thing I was wondering on...
I see how in the fuel maps, the values are an A/F ratio, not a "fuel" value like you'd see on a typical MAP based standalone.
If all I have to do is enter in an a/f ratio how would anyone ever have problems targeting a specific A/F during logging? Is it just me or is this just too easy? ...Enter in A/F on map, let ecu read O2 levels and compensate fuel and wallah - you have a perfect tune...
I am actually planning to upgrade to the 16G turbo here soon and buying another set of stock wrx injectors to modifiy which = 720cc or so.
In the injector compensation table it is already set to 380cc but the stock wrx injectors are 440cc I beleive. How would I know what to set this value to?
Thanks for the replies!
