Did 10 cars this weekend, 4 happened to be brand new GR customers. Two were bigger intake/inj cars. Here is some quick and general info. Using 70 and 100: I would drive the car on the street for approximately 20 minutes logging. Although this may not be a large data set, i used the calculations via the airboy spreadsheet and came up with "ballpark" load comp numbers. Using the fuel pump duty specified, and the load comps gave decent results. In gears 1-5, you could feel nothing. Occasionally, if you could hit the pedal just right in 6th gear, the studder would be there, but with added tps you can semi-comfortably get out of it. Flooring the cars from idle in first gear, you can feel the slightest blip. Now, I have used different dampeners/fpr in the GR's in the past. Some cars drive perfect, some do not. I think using The heaviest of all that were modified had 1000's, a AMR 550, ect. He is getting a dampener this week and I will collect some data and keep you guys updated with real results. I'm pretty confident that using the load comps, FP tables, and using an 04-07 fuel dampener, this case my friends, will be closed (at least for the people here and who they tune Cliff notes: 70/100 = 90 percent difference The other 10 lies in the fuel dampening and the load comps. Good stuff guys!! -Mikey

Prior to this fix was the fuel pressure (relative to manifold) falling off during these rough/stumble conditions? Has anyone stuck a gauge on the fuel rails and seen the drop?

Just stumbled across this thread, I've recently spent a fair amount of time figuring out the stock FPC control..
I'm not sure if the later FPC's are different, but the one in my 04 has three speeds only, it isn't continuously variable. It would be handy to set when the speed changes, but on my 16 bit ECU and matching FPC modifying say 66% to 75% won't yield an increase in speed. For example, the medium speed is selected with an ECU output duty between 61% and 99%.

The labels are a bit misleading but are somewhat correct, it's actually an IPW limit for the switching conditions. Code:
<scaling units="Duty Cycle" expression="x*100/255" to_byte="x*255/100" format="0.00" fineincrement="1" coarseincrement="5" />
<data>Fuel Pump Duty During Idle Conditions</data>

This will set the desired Cruise FP duty during Idle conditions.

<scaling units="Duty Cycle" expression="x*100/255" to_byte="x*255/100" format="0.00" fineincrement="1" coarseincrement="5" />
<data>Fuel Pump Duty During Cruise Conditions</data>

This will set the desired Cruise FP duty during cruising conditions.

I'm guessing that the addresses for an ADM 02 WRX (A4SE900I) are different to the USDM ROM as i'm seeing 3.14% idle duty cycle and 39.61% cruise duty cycle when using the above storage addresses. Does anyone know what the correct address for my ROM is?

I'd like to give this a shot but I don't see instructions on where to place these tabels in the XML file.
Where exactly does this need to go in the XML file?

Could someone be so kind as to show me how to set this up for my ADM 09 WRX?
I'd really appreciate it!
Dave.

These tables and engine load comp may help the stumble in the GR's but I have found that the Per injector tables to work much better at getting rid of it and have been able to remove the stumble 100% with these and cleaning everything up with Engine load comp.
The problem is somewhere in the fuel system but fuel rails and FPR's don't help.

I agree the load comp's help alot! But in my case i still have a minor stumble here and there.
How do you go about tuning your per injector tables?

How do you go about tuning your per injector tables? Well with the sti I just added extra fuel at the IPW and rpm that it needed it. I have also in the past used some spreadsheets to iscolate fuel correction based on base ipw. But you have to do it with a flat per injector comp table and do it only once. This is a time consuming fix for a tuner but for the self tuner you can really get it nailed down with enough data. Generally get it close with the per injector tables and then smooth out everything with el comp and maf scaling.

So it’s basically like tuning EL Comp except you’re looking for IPW and RPM dependant short term fuel trims?
How do you narrow it down to individual cylinders?
