I just added pretty much every WRX ROM I know of and a few FXT roms.

Thanks Eric! :-) Question now is how to utilize this for AT. 8)

Does this logic exist for the 08+ STi? I would love to have this for my 2011.

It is there but the table is limited to 2 rows, 1st and 6th gear only. Maybe someone who tunes knows how to utilize it though.

In STI's its a bit Different. I'll define them here or maybe a new thread. I have seen them have 2 gears, stock it has 1st and 6th. Now you could set this up by sloping the requested torque between gears.
Well it depends on how this table is interpolated by the ecu. If it slopes the requested tq between 1st and 6th we are good
maybe set up your requested tq numbers in your wastegate tables so your last 6 rows correspond to the different gears. Say you setup 500 tq limit in 1st gear and 400 tq limit in 6th.
500 would be the column for 1st gear
480 for 2nd
460 for 3rd
440 for 4th
420 for 5th
400 for 6th
You could also use SI drive to switch boost maps but you would have to make new column's for a sports map at this point your boost map will be pretty filled.
There is also different requested TQ limit maps based on SI drive. The intelligent map only has 1 gear
Testing would have to done.

Use it just like the MT's as I outlined earlier. I have noticed a 3 port is key to this tables effectiveness.
I just tuned a stage 2 WRX 2 days ago, 20 PSI in first gear!

Hi - any chance of finding this for the 08' EUDM / South Africa ROM - AZ1G201G / AZ1G202G ?

Nice find...

It's like most STI's 2 gears, 1st and 6th gear, I am not sure how useful this would be. and how difficult it would be to use it.

Hi - thanks - I actually started disassembling the Rom myself, and found the tables quite quickly - as with all the STI's, it is only 2 rows - 1 and 6. Have not yet started digging through the logic of the subroutines that call it.

I didn't see a 350 limit in that section but I didn't look at all of it either, it's a very long subroutine that processes four possible entry values.

Could it be possible to use a hex editor to find all references to the 'max' limited torque value as it would be likely that 350 is a very rare occurance value?

What about changing the gear axis to 1 & 2 rather than 1 & 6?
Would this give you enough control over 1st gear and 2 and up would effectively be unchanged?

Most likely the value is stored in IEEE 754 floating point format so a value of 350 would be represented by the byte sequence 43 AF 00 00.
In the 2010 WRX MT ROM I can find 14 occurrences of this sequence. So without knowing how the value is read changing any of them would be an interesting exercise of trial and error.

It would work but the benefits are minimal if tuned this way. Sure, you get fast spool in 1st but you also don't spend much time there, getting optimal spool in every gear really will have an effect on acceleration.

Or maybe set the gear axis to 2 & 3 then. Gear 2 and under read from the first row and 3 & up from the second row.
Experimentation will probably find the best compromise.

Here is the code for the 11 STI If someone can confirm that A is Sport and B is Sport Sharp that would helpful. Also that Requested TQ slopes between 1st and 6th, I can probably get my hands on one in the next few weeks.

Code:
   <table name="Requested Torque Limit A (Per Gear/Engine Speed)" storageaddress="DD724" sizey="2">
      <table type="X Axis" storageaddress="DD6DC" />
      <table type="Y Axis" storageaddress="DD71C" />
   </table>
   <table name="Requested Torque Limit B (Per Gear/Engine Speed)" storageaddress="DD7AC" sizey="2">
      <table type="X Axis" storageaddress="DD764" />
      <table type="Y Axis" storageaddress="DD7A4" />
   </table>

For the sti 08 to 10, I just find a happy medium. I target 4th to be spot on and expect some overboost for 3rd. For 1st gear, you can add compensation. Usually helpful if you have LC enabled for the car.

I hope you didn't miss this post.

These tables are read using the same routine as any other 3D table so linear interpolation should apply between cells. The result of each table (A & B) is compared to a couple of different RAM values to get the lower value. I'm not sure what these RAM values are or where they are set at the moment.
