Carbibble, thanks very much for sharing your work! Great job mate!

Would your ROM be compatible with a UK WRX 2001 ECU?

The car has currently got the original TGVs fitted which is the reason why I hadn't gone to the Group N ROM already, does this ROM control them or have the ability to hold them open?

Cheers

Ben

I think this ROM would work on your wrx, what is your stock rom ID? The CarBerry ROM is based off the group-n rom so it doesn't have TGV functionality as of right now, but I am hoping to add that functionality in future versions.

Thanks

i also just realized something, for those running the ALS, wouldnt it be counter intuitive to have a BOV on it also??? antilag on=trying to keep boost up when you let off/no load and when you let off the bov releases all pressure...

With anti lag on you wouldn't really get any vacuum in the intake manifold so the bov probably wouldn't even vent on throttle lift. I would assume that rally cars do not run them though.

Thanks for replying Carbibble, the ROM is A4SE900D so it looks like it will be compatible.

I really want to try this, i've made a safe base map but what is the best way to disable the TGVs?

Cheers

Ben

You'll need to hold them open. Check out the other SD threads for a few methods people have tried and had luck with. Obviously it would be ideal to delete them, however there are other methods. Unplugging the motor with them in the open position has worked for some.

This map works perfectly, been using it for couple days already and i am completely happy with it, actually work better on my car than the original group n map did!!!
I will upload a video later of this thing shooting flames and sparks out the muffler!!!!
Thanks for sharing this awesome map with us!!!!

BTW, i was wondering if it is possible to have two different maps, and switching them with the deffroster, this assuming the car will run one map (conditions not met) with the switch off and then switch on will met the conditions and run the other map. I would love to have a more aggressive map with AL and LC and a second fuel saving map!!!

Thanks again
Kevin

Sorry for holding up jason on this release guys. I've been testing as fast as I can :). The map switching does work but the problem is with the defrost button. It times out and turns off after a few minutes. I'm wiring in a switch to one of the pins and should have it finished by tomarrow to test. If it works I will write a full how to diy map switch with ecu pin #.

That'd be awesome... my heater control isn't hooked up ATM anyways, so I'll just wire in a switch ;)

Update; I worked on getting a wire added to the ecu pin/plug last night. Wire is in but it got late. I still need to run the wire from ecu to the switch. The wiring is all in my floor board atm. I will get the switched wired and finished up tonight so I should be able to test if map switching will work off the ecu pin.
