Please help. The macros are not compatible with Open Office. So I have to buy the 140$ excel software? Is there another program you can recommend to use your spreadsheet?

Using microsoft office 2010 I open the spreadsheet and it says "document has lost its activex controls" and then it says read only and compatibility mode at the top. none of the buttons work they just get outlined when I click on them.

Did you change the Macro security settings for Excel to ask for permission when opening files containing macros?

It just outlines them like it wants me to move them somewhere. I am wondering if I am doing it wrong. Is there a way to tell excel to run this file as a workbook not as a spreadsheet? It seems like it wants me to edit the file rather than utilize it as a workbook. In 2010 excel the macro settings are greyed out. Strange.

what you describe sounds like the Macro security level is set to High.
download the spreadsheet file again, in case the file was modified by Open Office or whatever
Start Excel 2003 go to Tools-->Macros-->Security and select Medium security level close Excel and restart
load freshly downloaded spreadsheet.
If that doesn't work then I don't know.

I used 2010 excel. Took me forever to find the security settings but that fixed it. Thanks tons! had to allow vba controls as well to get the buttons to work.

Airboy, are there instructions anywhere on reading/interpreting the boost/wg interpolation tables? I am trying to understand what each column is showing after I hit the interpolate button. I am sure this is a great boost tuning tool to utilize once I understand how it works. Thanks for your valuable time.

Thanks for your valuable time. Not really any instructions. The columns of numbers that are created are all graphed out. They are the Boost Targets and WGDC limits, calculated to include compensations for elevation and air temperature. 18psi in the Boost Target table become some other number when you get to 3500', which is where I am.

My bad, I thought it was used to help tune boost by using wgdc and comparing it to turbo dynamics to create a new boost target table.
