Makes it all the more impressive!

And fun it certainly is...

Aha, looks like OP is a man who has much time to do hacking.

Assuming the rom id is AZ1G202G(or AZ1G2021G), are you changing 0x38800000 to 0x39000000 at 8708c to fix it?

....

Yup, that's exactly it, works perfectly. Glad to hear that another hacker has the same ecu ID as me, handy ;)

I'm out of town, but had a quick look through some of that thread looks exciting. I wish I had the ability to code Java at this stage, but unlike NSFW, Dale and others, I'm at a disadvantage - I'm not a coder, have been learning furiously about all this in the last 4/5 months...

This is awesome guys. Any chance you could elaborate on how to add this variable to the rom definitions (AZ1G2021G)? I was about to define a 1D table at the address 8708c mensioned above but wasn't totally confident.. particularly what storage type the variable should be (uint8 unit16 or float)?

The value being referenced here is an IEEE 754 representation of a single precision decimal value.
So you would define float as the storage type as follows:
Code:
<table type="2D" name="Engine Load Limit B Maximum (RPM) - Multiplier" category="Mass Airflow / Engine Load" storagetype="float" endian="big" sizey="1" userlevel="4" storageaddress="0x8708C">
  <scaling units="multiplier" expression="x" to_byte="x" format="0.000000000000" fineincrement="0" coarseincrement="0" />
  <table type="Static Y Axis" name="" sizey="1">
   <data>Engine Load Limit B Maximum (RPM) - Multiplier</data>
  </table>
  <description>Change this value to change the maximum  of the Engine Load Limit B Maximum (RPM) table from it's nominal value.  By setting this field to twice (x2) of it's nominal value you will increase the cap of the Engine Load Limit B Maximum (RPM) to double it's nomial value.</description>
</table>
Paste this into the AZ1G202G(or AZ1G2021G) section of the def directly above the <table name="Engine Load Limit B Maximum (RPM)" entry.
Use 2 and the Mul button to double the value.
NOTE: You will not see the Engine Load Limit B Maximum (RPM) table change as it is based on a statically defined formula elsewhere in the def, not what you entered for the new multiplier value.

You're the best! Thanks for the quick response! The owner of the car will be pretty happy I'm sure!

Well multiplying by 2 worked great! We need more though...has anyone tried multiplying by 4?

You can multiply by any number, really - in essence it takes the uint16 figure in the table and multiplies it.

Are you really needing more than 8 load? I _want_ to drive that car! :D

I'll start digging around for the decel / idle tables, hopefully I'll have some luck in finding them this time.

At 17 psi we are at 6.5 grams... Target boost when all is said and done is 40 psi :twisted: The plan is to see how far we can push it on the stock ecu, and if need be, he is all about grabbing a stand alone.

I would really appreciate the other tables! 2000cc injectors and a 99mm MAF housing are making this thing a bitch to tune as far as coming back to an idle is concerned. Idle itself is rock solid and driveability is pretty damn good, it just dies 7/10 times when coming back to an idle. I've used those tables on 16bit cars with bigger MAF housings that are close to the turbo and it has helped a ton! Moving the MAF further away isn't really an option. We already had a custom intake made and the MAF wires extended to run it as close to the plastic under tray as possible, but it's still getting some fluctuation when coming back to an idle. I know there are speed density patches available as well, but we really want to see how far we can take it on a stock ecu, with a MAF, as possible.

I have missed this great thread :shock: .

I have the same problem with JDM 08STI(AZ1G300F).

Could you please help in finding the address for AZ1G300F?

Thanks in advance.

All of these pushed to the Alpha repo here: https://github.com/Merp/SubaruDefs/tree/Alpha

Sanity checks were performed on the tables and a template is provided.

Current roms with this Alpha definition:

AZ1G201G
AZ1G201I
AZ1G300F
AE5IA10L
