Hank said he's interested in working on the log viewer. Here's some examples for you to look at.

Logs are in csv format, which is just a comma delimited list. I think that's what the bank gives us for our statements -- viewable in Excel.

DeltaDash can open log files and display them as graphics, 3D tables, or some other silly way. The 2D graphs are what I'm most interested in. Notice you can zoom and scroll -- we need that.

Edit: The constructor for the log viewer should take a File. From the main RomRaider window, we'll use a JFileChooser and pass the output to the log viewer. Make it extend JPanel and put it in the package RomRaider.LogViewer

If it is any help, here is the log analyzer project I had started working on. It is in c#, but many of the concepts would apply.
Most of it is probably junk, but there is at least an example of bilinear interpolation in Base3DTable.cs and some form of StatisticsTable in StatisticsTable.cs.

I was working on this because (1)wanted some practice coding and (2)wanted to be able to analyze my log files. I doubt I'm even halfway done and there are many areas where this is just complete junk, but I'll throw it out here in case it is of even the slightest use :):):)

I have very little in the way of free time these days, but I would like to contribute a bit here and there if I can manage it. I guess I'll take a look around this site to try and find some work to do if I come up with some free time.

Cool! I might have to do this as Hank has been pretty busy lately.. I just hate working with graphics :x At least this should help give me a starting point -- were you already parsing .CSV files?

I just talked to Hank. He's made quite a bit of progress on the log viewer lately and he estimated he'd have an early version in a couple weeks. Once he does, I'll take a better look at it and we can start thinking more about the road dyno, overlaying logs on tables, and autotuning.
