This should work for RR.
Legacy GT A2WC522N -> A2WC540E
Outback XT A2WC522S -> A2WC640E

Awesome.... I got the error message when opening the ROM, but I guess that's usual
--
Checksum No. 1 is invalid
This ROM image may be corrupt
Use of this ROM image is not advised
--

Now I can see new categories at the end of the list (below ODB-II and Diagnositics):
--
NSFW - Fuel Cut
Fueling - Speed Density
NSFW Fueling - Load Change Compensation
--

Still to receive my '05 Legacy GT, but at least it's on it's way to me now :-) Thanks,
Simon

PS. I did try ECUFlash which works, but it's nicer to stick in one tool for all your editing.

You get the checksum error because you patched the ROM code but the patcher app does not update the checksums. You can update them when to save the ROM in RR Editor.

I know NSFW is (was?) injured and recovering, but is there any work being done on A2WC522N to bring feature parity with the other 32 bit sd patches?
Who do I bribe? :lol:

Bribe Merp. He's added a bunch of additional cool stuff and I get the impression he's done some extra work to make it easier to port the changes over to new ROMs, too.

And I really want to focus on the flex-fuel hack when I'm back to normal.

I had surgery on my elbow 4 weeks ago, and still have another 4 more weeks of physical therapy ahead of me. I've got this machine parked next to my couch that flexes and extends my arm pretty much all day long. Makes it kinda hard to concentrate. And then on top of that I have a Vicodin and I crank on it as hard as I can 4x a day because the machine doesn't bend it as far as it should. Makes it impossible to concentrate.

I've missed a lot of work, but fortunately my boss has been really cool about it.

And, just to keep things interesting, I'm also moving next month. Never a dull moment around here. :shock:

That's just not good enough... ;)

Sounds like you did your arm in good and proper! At least we don't have snow to damage ourselves with on this side of the world. Other ways to break limbs :)

Sorry to necrothread, but I was interested in getting this working on my '05 lgt mt as well. I have used the patch and everything looks good according to the log but when I open it in ECUflash there are no default values for any of the new functions, and there's this weird box for the fuel cut threshold. Any ideas?

Looks like an issue with the 'format' attribute of the scaling used for that table, maybe something changed in ECUFlash's parsing or defaults.

I used the RomRaider ECU definition listed earlier in this thread and it seemed to work fine - all the values were populated with reasonable-looking defaults. Will ecuflash have any trouble flashing the ROM, even though it doesn't display the table correctly? I'm on ecuflash 1.29a

Should be fine. I've seen issues like that before and it was only an issue with display format, not the actual data.

I'm on ECU flash Version 1.42.2595 and it's parsing fine for me. I have been running NSFW's 540E map for over a year now. Haven't finalized running the speed density implementation full time yet though.

No, it is a terrible ROM to work as a base file anyway
Port your changes into A2WD010Z aka the stock STi ROM and 010Z will have Flex shortly
