You are at least to have frontal view dimensions. I am afraid that Forester has about +20% frontal area due to the height against Impreza.

Something like this is applicable
FrontalArea(feet2) = width(mm) * (height(mm) - clearance(mm))/(305*305 mm2/feet2)

ok, then for impreza diesel we got: 1740mm * (1450-150)mm / (305*305mm2/feet2)= 24,31 feet2 and Forester: 1780mm * (1700-215)mm / (305*305mm2/feet2) = 28,41 feet2 I`ll change the post

I'm having trouble with the Cars def file in romraider v0.5.6 RC 2
error: "Missing cars_def.xml file from the installation or profiles or definitions directory. Dyno feature will not be available until this file is present"
I have cars_def.xml in the following locations and still no luck
C:\Program Files (x86)\RomRaider\ - Installation directory %userprofile%\.RomRaider\ - Userprofile settings location %userprofile%\Google Drive\Documents\Tuning\RomRaider\v0.8.3.1b\ - Location of ecu and logger defs
Not quite sure what exactly is going on. Any help would be appreciated.

Did you put both files in your directory, the .xml & .dtd? Both need to be in one of those locations, preferably where your logger defs are stored.

Well I had the .dtd and .xml file in the userprofile and had originally renamed the cars_def.dtd in the installation directory planning to replace it with the new one. Apparently I forgot to copy the .dtd to the installation directory after renaming the old one. Could have sworn I did that. Well sorry about that. Thanks for the help.

I looked through the cars_def.xml and ecu_defs.xml, but my car isn't listed on there. Does anyone have an updated cars_def.xml and ecu_defs.xml which includes 12 and 13 models like 2013 Subaru Impreza WRX Premium?

dschultz wrote: The cars.def will not have any info. You should look in the experimental section. Yeah, I've been all up and down the forum and the internet, I already have most of the info except for three fields <rollcoeff>xxx</rollcoeff> <frontalarea>xxx</frontalarea> <dragcoeff>0.31</dragcoeff> - This one I found the value for a 2012 model so it's not 100% for sure any help is appreciated

I wouldn't be overly concerned about them. If you set them reasonable and never change them, then all dyno runs will use the same reference and comparison between runs is possible for tuning purposes.
