Just downloaded the latest def and installed. When opening RomRaider it told me there is a newer version of my ecu (I was suprised).

I've talked with a few people about the newer revs and I'm a but confused. Some say stick with the same map the car came with and I can see their logic althought I don't nessesarily agree?

For my pertircular ecu I know there is 2 newer reveisions, A4TF510, and A4TF520. According to what I have read, the 520 has logic changes that are not good for performance. That would lead me to belive I should be using the 510 map? What do you guys think? All input will be apreciated. :D

From my understanding, the performance decrease with the 520 is in the mapping and not the logic. So since you're tuning anyway, you can fix all of that. As far as sticking to the old one for anything other than a very specific issue with a particular revision, I don't see the point.

Excelent, I could have swore it was in the logic? This is the situation where map comparing would really be great!

I've going to take a look at the maps and if it does appear to be in the maps, then I suppose I'll be moving on. Thanks for the input.

This would have been a great time to try out map comparing, eh? Maybe next week. :) I just took a look, apparantly the timing maps are the same. Interesting..

I thought I compared them before and they were the same (I was just going to do it again, to make sure I didn't miss something). Since we know there is a diff, and it's not in the maps, it should be in the logic right?

I think the 510 is starting to sound better. :D

if I'm not mistaken, after you do the flash, the CEL will go away.

I've split this into another thread to keep the DEF's download thread clean.

Ok ev8siv3, I fixed the rounding issue and it'll go in the next release. I may release another incremental version before the ECU editor goes out just to fix and add a few little things. In the current ECU defs, CL Max EGT should have this to_byte:

(((x-32)/1.8)-40)/4

Instead of

(((x-32)/1.8)/4)-40

Also, I just dug this link up. Not sure where everyone is with the DBW ECUs, but I haven't been able to figure out the axiis. If you scroll about 3/4 of the way down you can see what some stock STi tables look like.

Turns out I had the Definitions kinda skewed on the 02 maps.

Only had the Wastegate AUTO map in there and the Target Boost MT. So regardless you'd be hitting 1 or the other and changes wouldn't really work.. They are now both entered so you can tune boost for any MY02 car with AT or MT.

Some of my 02 Stage 1/2 maps may need to be edited. I'll take a look at those soon.
